Endo or Urologist for TRT?
supp bros,, im 34 and looking for a doc in my area to start some trt, my total test was around 200 a couple months ago.
who would be more likely to put me on longterm trt treatment, an endocrinologist or urologist?
thanks for the help.

db your test is low man, I would first go see my primary doctor and he would put you on the right direction

you may be able to go to a uro for ED and he may treat the cause (low test) instead of the symptom (cialis).....but either way i think 113 is correct in that you must start with your GP....

my primary doc is tooo conservative,, he says im in the "low normal range"
i'm going to start looking for a uro doc that takes my insurance and hopefully find one that isnt afraid to give me an rx.

Bro, if your doctor is not working with you and your needs then look for a new doctor that is not as concervative and remember to try to get as much information about the Uro doc before you go and see him, check references etc it should give you a good idea of what to expet before you go.

my GP prescribes me test because I told him I us steroids and he said he would rather see me use legit testosterone than UG lab stuff. He is WAY cool. try some different doc's. eventually you can find one who will work with you.

I agree with all the bros that suggest yoiu find a new GP, if it's possible with your insurance. I know some plans don't give a damn about your needs and put these ridiculous time tables which you have to wait for to change primary dr.'s. It's B.S. But if you can switch, I'd do it in a heartbeat. My current primary is the first gp that I felt comfortable enough to ask him to run my test levels. He specializes in treating athletes as a sports medicine doc. Now it could have really backfired on me, with all the indictments of docs over scribing gear, but he was cool. I made the mistake of jumping the gun when I found out my test was 209, and got gear in Mex (I live right on the border in CA). The gear was brutal (total trash) I got acne on my back, felt the same, injection sites hurt like a mutha, and when I had my levels re-checked....you guessed it, went from 209 to 307 after 6 weeks. So now I'm two weeks into pharm grade test cyp and I feel good. I see the Uro again this week to see what my latest levels are, and to see if arimidex can help out the acne. It's slow bro, to do it the right way, but with a little patience and a good gp, you'll be up and pounding it soon. Keep us posted, and good luck.

You might try asking a compounding pharmacy in your area and just ask them who they refer their HRT patience to.
