TRT as Male birth control?

Most guys are not running cycles long enough to completely shut them down, or at least not enough to be “safe” from pregnancy.

However, I am in a different situation.

I have been on TRT for a while now, almost a full year, at about 160mg EW, dose split into 80mg Mon and Thurs.

Anyhow, my wife and I only have one kid, and just recently too, and would like to wait another 3-4 years before another, yet would still like to be able to have them in the future.

I am not completely sterile, and with the help of clomid, nolva was able to still have one kid once, so I can still produce SOME (not a lot, but some) natural test and sperm.

I do know that I could keep myself fertile, by using HCG , in small doses, under 500 IU, 2 x EW, BUT I actually want to be temporarily sterile.

My wife has had issues with Birth control pills in the past, and seeing that I have a script for test, year round, anyway, why not just use it as BC, and not take the HCG?

I have read that it has been tested for 18 months, at doses of 200mg EW, with no permanent sterility, yet I do wonder, how long could I keep this up, before I become permanently infertile?

That, and is there something that could be done, say every year, or six months, that would keep me from becoming sterile permanently, yet allow myself to be sterile most of the time?

Then there is also the question as to weather this dose completey shuts me down.

I keep my E2 Estradiol around 20-25 pg/ml, and do use arimidex for this at 0.3 mg 2x EW. as well.

I have been on for three years, I should go and get the swimmers examined to see if there are any live ones. I am going to Bangkok next week so I will get one of the girls to spit my load into a jar and I will have it looked at

add depo provera to trt and it is a very effective birth control method
