Is there such a thing as low dose TRT?

I bit abuut me, I'm 28, 6'0", 195 lbs and been training consistently since I was 23. I eat well, sleep well and train intensely. I have never done any steroid cycles (but will probably do my first some time this year).

About two years back though I noticed that I stopped getting morning wood. About the same time, I started to have mild-to-moderate ED, lower libido and feeling very exhausted during the day. I got my test levels checked multiple times, but every time they were right in the middle of the normal range. My latest results are 519 (on a scale of 245-850).

Now, I've been to 3 urologists, one neurologist and one endocrinologist and they can't find any reason for my ED. I know that test levels vary with time of day, so my questions are:

    1. Is it possible that low test levels later during the day are cause of my ED? I know that they drop to about 300 by afternoon (got them tested in the afternoon too).

    2. Is it advisable to ask my doc to run a *mild* TRT dose to bump up my levels to 900 or so? I've run out of options (having researched ED a lot) and this seems to be something I can try.

    3. Can I ever stop this *mild* TRT once I get started? i.e. do I have to remain on for life or can I stop it and do a PCT and get things back to normal? I'm willing to give this a try for 3-4 months, just to see if it makes any difference to my sex drive and ED issues.

    Much thanks in advance.

tell us everything you had tested. results would help alot.
you had free T tested right? or bio availible T. along with total T.

    2. there is no mild TRT. your either in 100% or nothing. taking mild amounts will shut down your natural production and get you nowhere.
maybe try a cycle and see how you feel.

im only learning myself, so i hope we get some more opinions here.

although you are still in mid range for test....you might have been more towards the high end most of your adult life and the middle number could still be andropause

You age could be a factor...the steroid use could also be a reason the libido is low. Obviously anything like medications could effect you or me differently so that's why it's such a hard one to tell.

Have you gone to a doctor? If you go for a libido issue, they will just give you the blue pill which is just horribly dosed with side effects.

The tests should should a good amount of detial.

I used to be out of it with my sex drive due to a madness of things. I found a herbal enhancer semenax to really help out with getting my drive and boy did that work amazingly. Not to mention the other benefits it brings to your sex life. I would be working out while on the natural herbs and have found them to work with my muscle building there.

    Well whatever works, good luck.

Thanks for the reply guys and BTW I've never done roids.

I had a shitload of tests done.

Estrogen, and free test were done 6 months back. Free test at the time was higher than the indicated normal range!! Total test however was in the middle of the normal range. Estrogen too was in the middle, dont remember exact values now.

This time, I first got tested for diabetes. It's a shitty test, they draw blood about 9 times over the course of 6 hours. Anyway, that test came back negative, the doc did say I was kinda sensitive to insulin though and my levels rose and dropped significantly, which he said explained my fatigue. He advised smaller meal portions and sugar control.

Other stuff I did: (I can post exact values if anyone is interested).
complete metabolic panel with WBC, RBC, epithelial cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCV, MCH, RDW, platelets etc all normal. Heck I dont even know what half of those are.

    lipid panel
    total cholesterol: 157 (range 100-199)
ldl: 101 (range 0-99) borderline high
hdl 41 (range 40-59) borderline normal, i';ve always had bad hdl levels, again never done roids
    triglycerides: 76 (range 0-149)
    vldl: 15 (range 5-40)

lh: 3.8 (range 1.5-9.3) kinda low, WTF?
fsh: 0.9 (range 1.4 - 18.1) WTF guys, why is this low? Damn, guess I'm sterile

    homocycteine: 8.5 (range 0 - 15)
    thyroxine (t4) free: 1.25 (range 0.61 - 1.76
    thyroxine (t4) total: 7.6 (range 4.5 - 12.0)
    testosterone (total): 519 (range 241 - 827)
    tsh: 3.338 (range 0.35 - 5.50)
vitamin B12 - 1029 (range 211-911) this is high, is this GOOD?
    prolactin: 9.9 (range 2.1 - 17.7)

I complained about getting a test script, so the doc said he will test my testosterone, FSH and LH again. I'm almost tempted to follow the directions in one of the articles here and cause my test to drop low, but I also want a correct diagnosis for my issues, so I'm avoiding it.

Doc did say I have a somewhat large prostate (!!!), should I press for PSA test or maybe DHT too?

    Ok guys, any thought?

BTW, should I do my first cycle or not? suggestions?

That shouldn't even be a question, get yourself checked out before starting a cycle.
