    TRT causes sleep apnea?

Some of the web sites on TRT I've read indicate that supplementing with testosterone can increase sleep apnea. Has anyone had any sleep problems as a result of TRT?

From my own experience, I never had problems with sleep apnea until i was on a cycle about six years ago. I went from not having a problem to pretty severe problem real quick. I ended up cutting the cycle off because my fatigue and exhaustion made training nearly impossible.

After ending the cycle, I still had problems, though not to the extent as when I was on. I now wear a bi-pap at night and all's well. I also began TRT about 8 weeks ago but haven't notice a worsening of my sleep apnea yet.

I just had a sleep study done a couple of weeks ago. The doc wants me to start CPAP but I'm not sure if I can tolerate sleeping with a mask. We're also exploring the idea of having my tonsils and adenoids removed to widen the back of my throat so I can breathe better.

    >>Insert obligatory "deep throat" joke here<<

I also just got my first prescription of androgel today. I thought I'd go with the Androgel and then ask to switch to injections later.

I know you weren't addressing me, but I'll have to say that the bi-pap (which is similar to a c-pap but the air pressure is less as I breathe out than when I breathe in) has made a tremendous difference in my quality of life.

A miracle? I don't know. The problem with me was that my test levels had fallen to the 190 range and I don't know how long they had been there. I began 100 mg 2/wk of cyp at almost the same time as I began to use the bi-pap. The combination of TRT AND the bipap has been nearly miraculous. I feel 15 years younger.

I had felt like sh1t for so long I thought it was normal (almost). Boy was I wrong.
