Tamoxifen/Nolvadex to stimulate test

Hi, I've met with a couple of doctors so far about anti-aging programs. The one I saw last recommended a program of tamoxifen and arimodex for me.

My testosterone levels are ~300, he'd like to see them higher (me too) but he didn't want to do TRT, among other reasons because he thought that the tamoxifen is a better way to get my body to drive more LH to more testosterone without as many downsides, and also because I'm going to have kids soon.

Does anyone know if this is a valid approach? My goals are to get bigger and leaner with a more hormonally favorable environment. Right now I'm 5'10", 180#, 14% bf, and I have a really, really, really, really hard time losing fat or gaining muscle from where I'm at. I've never done anything anabolic .

How old ? Stats look favorable . Try Doctors recommendations and keep us posted . Need a journal to keep workout weight's accurate . I have seen some OTC supplements that claim favorable testosterone manipulation this method .

I'm 37 years old. Is this approach of tamoxifen /arimodex something that others have done, or is this a whacko one-off approach? I haven't been able to find anything about it on the boards here, or in Google. THanks!

Did you have your estrogen levels checked? I would get some more information from your Doctor, arimodex is an estrogen blocker and will not allow test to convert to est, but you still need a healthy level of estrogen...without estrogen level testing it seems strange to have this prescribed. Good luck.

Sounds weird to me aswell. Im going to the dr today. My test is 276 and im 28 so more than likly they wont do trt but Ill let you know how it turns out oir me

you do need some natty estrogen, but a low level of adex would leave some estrogen if the levels were high to start. if i am not mistaken adex raise test about 58% and tamox about 150%. in addition the tamox would keep the estrogen in you body, it just blocks some of the receptors. that would be the way i would go for raising test levels and having some healthy levels of estrogen.

how long did your doc say it was safe to stay on tamoxifen or adex. I am thinking about doing the same thing too...
