    Unhappy Nebido

For the last 2 years I have been getting TRT because of secondary hypogonadism brought on by the removal of a tumour in my pituatary gland. I began to have very low T and high levels of prolactin.

I have a few questions over the injection of Nebido.

What is worrying me at the moment is that I have had 3 injections of Nebido so far in the past 9 months, the first two I received in the deltoids, the most recent I recieve today was just above the buttock.

What is worring me is a burning sensation surrounding the injection site and if it was actually administered properly as I am over weight and have more fat around that area.

I also noticed leaking and when I massaged the area, I could smell the oil on my hands.

Do I have anything to worry about here?

The upper/outer part of the glutes is where I like to inject ... Just make sure that you're using a 1-1/2" length needle when doing it there. Also, I use a 25g thick needle, which doesn't feel bad at all. Aspirate a little once inside, and if there's no blood you're good to go.

My GP injected, I've never injected before. There was no blood, just some seepage of the oil and a burning sensation that surrounded the injection site by a few inches. The burning sensation is still there but is calming down, there doesn't seem to be any redness or swelling.

For now I'm just worried if I will benefit the next 3 months because of the seepage which has never happened before.

Also the burning feelling feels like its just under the surface of my skin, which is also making the outer skin tender.

I don't know if this is normal, kinda worried that the injection has just went into fat.

I don't get any burning sensation when I inject Nebido, make sure your injecting deep enough and are you injecting the whole 4ML into one site?

I don't normally either, but my gp decided to try a different location. Yes the whole 4ml in one go, very slowly.

It does sound like some of the oil went into your fat by your description, I also prefer injecting 2ML at 2 different sites

Ive never heard of Nebido, I take it is just another brand of Test? I use WATSON but test is test right?

Yes it sounds very much like your doc didnt inject deep enough.

One problem I have with doctors administering the shots they get in a hurry and blast it in causing the soreness.

Once ever 3 months? You might want to see if you can split that up into monthly or less to keep things more stable.

I did some reading/searching. Hmmmmmm Im calling my doc tomorrow to see if I can try NEBIDO. It looks like it might be available in the US now???

Yes as soon as I saw your earlier post I did some searching and found that. That is what got me even more interested. Im still not sure if it is YET available in the US, last it said it was delayed.

I called my doc today and left a message to see if he know anything about it. My visit 6 months ago he said something about an Oral coming down the line??? Im fine with injections and dont want to be a Guinea pig. LOL I like what I have read about the Nebido.

I can guarantee the delays are about $$$$ the other companies are probably paying FDA to postpone it as long as possible.
