TRT Dosage

I am interested in possibly self-medicating with TRT.

I saw my doctor and asked him about it today. The first thing that he told me was that he could not get insurance to pay for it without blood work showing that I needed it.

His office specializes in hormone replacement therapy. He told me the dosage would be 200mg/week of Test Cypoinate. That sounds awfully high to me considering I know guys who juice on just 250mg/week and get results. Low but there are results.

The reason I am thinking about it is because I just dont feel the same since my second to last cycle when i am natural. The last cycle ended January 15 so I think it is still too early to tell where my natural levels will end up.

I do have trouble getting it up unless i am super aroused and I just dont feel the same. I got labs done today so i will see where my natural test levels are.

Is 200mg/week the real trt dosage?

Other than testicle shrinking and infertility what other factors are there to consider when on trt? The doc said thats about it.

you were right....that is usually a high starting dose for trt although some run that high and i did for some time but found it was harder to keep the test/estrogen ratio right....on doses of 200mg or higher, I and most that post here use arimidex or something similar to keep estrogen from rising along with the testosterone levels ....
some ppl complain of acne and a little extra hair in places like back...i never got acne but did get more back hair and different places on arms..

I get bad acne on my cycles so I am assuming that high of a dosage will definitely produce acne.

I dont have to worry about hair because i laser-ed most of it off. Almost done.

So what is the average starting dosage? I would think 100mg but is it more like 50mg?

Also what type of test levels should be expected with 100mg? I had test levels of 400 in between my last two cycles.

The ranges vary, but 100-to-200mg is it. I'm at 200mg myself. I guess it just varies with each individual and what works best. At least your doctor sounds like he knows what he's doing ... My primary (female) gave me a 100mg shot and said come back in a month ... I was at a doctor's office who specializes in HRT that week!

I'm sure it varies between everyone. I started 100mg/week of Test E 2 weeks ago. Ill probably go for a blood test in a couple weeks so Ill be posting my numbers.
