First shot of Test last week!!

Started my TRT, hopefully it helps my conditions, very nervous/excited. I'm starting with 100mg Test Enanthate weekly. I don't know if its placebo or not but I have felt somewhat more levelheaded and calm actually, feels nice. Other than that I've noticed that I have been really sore the past few days, expecially where I have lingering injuries(slightly bulging disc) and my back has hurt more this week than it has in a long time. When starting TRT do people normally get joint or other types of pain ? It's not intolerable but it hurts enough where I'd rather stay away from the gym to further hurt it. I need my body to function correctly for work and can't afford to hurt my back again. Just curious, thank for reading

Cheers to your first shot, and many more to come! Not aware of joint pain being a problem when starting or continuing TRT. Maybe you just overdid it a little at the gym knowing that you're on the right track with TRT. I have a overload iron condition that gave me arthritis at a young age. One simple thing that works amazing for me is just the plain and simple EFA's (Omeg3,6,9 flax).

Congrats on starting TRT Mang. I recall that the first few months of TRT were amazing for me. Felt better in so many ways including my ability to think clearly and focus at work. Sometimes I think I am not getting as much bang from it now, perhaps I have just reset my expectations to a higher level.

Not to jack your thread, but I also share the iron overload situation that Vettman mentioned. I think this is an under diagnosed problem for men. All guys should be aware of elevated iron or ferretin levels as it really messes with your organs and joints.

BTW, I just switched from 22g to 23g pins and am pleased with the results. Not too hard to draw and less pain going into the glute.

Im a pvssy, I use 25g LOL I personally like to inject SLOW, 2 full minutes and never get any pain afterward.

I have told other to try this. Fill your syringe with water or oil. Point it in the air and push it with the same force you do when injecting. How far does the little stream fly? Now where does it have to go when you are injecting it except blasting into that muscle next to it? why are you sore?

For your bulging disk. ICE and plenty of it. Dont let it deteriorate and get worse. I have had 2 surgeries due to ruptured disk. Not fun.

i'm gonna look into swithcing/trying 25 guage again.....i did for a while...cant remember if they were hard to find (locally) or if indeed it was due to the slowness of the injection...i currently pull with 18 guage then switch to 23

like jpk said, I also pull with 18g and then switch, but I go to 25g and go slow. I also heat the bottle in the sink so it's nice and warm and more like body-temp. Can't even feel it going in!

edgarr, also as jpk said, 1" works for the quads but just last week went 5/8" into my delt. If I go into glutes, it's 1.5"

Sorry to hear about your ruptured disc's! How has it effected your workouts? What can/can't you do? ICE is the temporary miracle cure I think,my pain is completely gone after icing. I should start doing it every day just for the hell of it.Luckily the doc said the disc was only slightly bulging so I am hoping I can make a full recovery because I really wanna deadlift some heavy weight haha. Oversummer I pulled 315 no problem, except it wasn't a barbell, it was a small transformer at a scrap yard. I want to see what kind of results I can get being on TRT now and not walking around drained all day for no reason and having no motivation to go to the gym.

It effected working out but not as much as my low Test levels I had no clue about for many years.
I got to where I could only walk/stand for 10 minutes at a time before having the first surgery. The 2nd surgery was almost exactly 2 years later, ruptured L5. Basically paralyzed from the waist down until after surgery.

Pain is still there 24/7 but it's bearable now and since it's not going away anytime soon all I can do is deal with it so 2+ years ago I said fvck it Im not getting any younger and if I dont get in shape my back will only get worse.

I dont do any heavy squats or leg press. I only started doing squats a few months ago and Im still keeping it pretty light and no free weights yet, only the rack and let press. Believe it or not squats and weighted back extensions seem to help. I use to feel a lot of pain even lifting 50 lb dumbbells but now I dont feel much. It use to feel like it was compressing a lot but it's better.

Thanks for making me think about that. Sometimes I dont know if it's getting any better or not but like today I was using 80 lbs dumbbells and dont remember any pain from lifting them.
