    Age 23, Test. at 348

I planned on running a cycle, so I got my blood tested.

    Total testosterone 348 range 250-1100 ng/dl
    Free testosterone 84.6 range 35-155 pg/ml
    Estradiol 43 range 13-54 pg/ml

Cholesterol, lipids, liver and kidney all look good.

My test. levels suck. I workout 5+ days a week with weights and eat really, really well. To me, this level explains a lot-development since puberty, fat levels, sex life, depression, ect.

I'm going to my primary care doctor tomorrow (got tested elsewhere). What should I do? Get on TRT? Either way, I'm running this cycle. Just wondering if I should go for the long haul and through a doctor.

Have your blood drawn first thing in the morning upon waking! Get a full panel of blood work done and rule out everything before start TRT! Your free T doesn't look as low as the total T. The free T is the number that really matters. Also if your are training 5 + days a week you could be over training. Try cutting your work outs to 4 days a week.

I'm the same way man.. 22, with three seperate tests all ranging from 350-399, and the doctors say it would be unethical to help..

-Plus you have to remember, your values aren't abnormal for a male...
250-1000 is the range..Even though the average test lvls for people our age might be higher, we aren't technically low..

I doubt you will get prescribed any TRT at that level, and if anything they will run androgel first..

Wow, my doc is awesome. I explained about my sex drive and my puberty development, but it just took one look at my total test. level to say I need TRT. He gave me a guy at a pharmacy to call and said I could do shots or Androgel depending on my insurance.

I told him I wanted to do my cycle. He said, "cool, we'll retest once you're off." My doc's in San Diego for anyone who wants to know.

Also, I had blood drawn in the morning after I woke up and drove to the office. For my height (6'2''), 348 blows.

Hate to say it, but Mr. G is right. It's hard to get some of these docs to prescribe the stuff when you're in your 40's with a score in the high 200's, let alone in their range (be it on the lower end). Chances are, if you eat good, workout correctly, sleep, and take some good vitamins (little Zinc would help), you'll probably get your natty up. If you start taking TRT, it's for life.
