32, low test, low LH, need a doc that will help...

Been to the urologist who just prescribed me androgel , didn't listen when i requested he test LH/Estrogen or basically anything else. Went to an endo who got angry when i started asking questions, he tested LH as well as the other levels, and LH was low but stated "not to worry" and test was 300(im FAR too young for this)

anyone know a good urologist or endocrinologist who specializes in TRT/HRT injections, or understands treatment vs. just serving the androgel reps that buy him lunch?

    LI, NY area....

I wish I knew someone in your area that could help. What is with these docs who get upset or angry if a patient ask questions?

i dont know man, but i know this, it's my body, my money, my life. It's sad that we don't have a health care system thats concerned with health, moreso just keeping you sick.

lets give you this drug, and this drug because of this drug, and this drug to help you come off this drug, but you will need this drug because you once took this drug, etc etc etc.

    i just want myself back.

Your second paragraph is a sad but all too true scenario playing out in the mainstream medical community. The part that bothers me is this practice is done very regularly and liberally as you described, except when it comes to HRT. Over the past years, my doc has kicked me on all sorts of stuff from Anti Depresents to Vicodin without blinking. It took years before she even ran a test to see that my "T" score was low. However, that's when the liberal quick prescriptions got clamped! I was originally put on Gel. She was concerned about "Roid Rage ." She refuses to check estro levels. I found myself on this site and at a HRT specialist soon after.

Now, back to you. Tell us a little more about yourself. I know you're 32, but what's the rest of your stats, and do you see anything in your lifestyle that might be contributing to your dilemma? You said that you had low LH ... What was that score if you don't mind me asking? Some docs would be inclined to maybe do a MRI to rule out any tumors. Have you looked at just some basic lifestyle changes and some test boost supplements, zinc, natural, etc. for starters?? Maybe you're already there and have exhausted this ...

    Hang in there,
    VM

I went through this, recently. We are nearly the same age. My test level, after a physical at a new primary care physician's office visit, was at 92. The first urologist, who I was referred to and visited, told me that he wouldn't prescribe HRT and would need to run further blood work. His attitude toward me was short and felt condescending, from the very moment that I was honest and up-front about my handful of experiences with anabolics. So, I saw a second urologist, and was less forthcoming, in hopes of avoiding some of the judgement and profiling aggravation. He prescribed Testrogel and asked me to get another round of blood work. Days after that, the follow-up appointment with doctor #1 came around. My test had risen to about 300, from 5 weeks before that, when I had my physical examination. So, he assured that it would continue to rise, and that I didn't even need to buy hcg . Later, I determined that the oral Winny that I had snacked on, a couple of months prior to all of this, must have been responsible. More accurately, my neglect to run any pct was at fault. See, in my mind, some oral Winny was child's play and the pct was uncalled for. Wrong. SOOOOOO, MY QUESTION TO YOU, IS; HAVE YOU RUN ANYTHING, WITHIN THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS AND NOT DONE PCT? If so, how long has it been, since you had your test level evaluated? There may be a chance that it has already risen.

    a lil about me

never ran a ph/aas ever in my life
    32, 186, 5'10.75"
    symptoms were
    low/no libido
    no random wood
    edgy, snappy
    restless
    weight loss slowed
    muscle growth stopped

lost a good amount of weight in the last 10 months, but not by crash dieting, just working out, cardio and good diet. LH was 1.5(range was 1.6-4.0). Just not the man i was, and i am in the best physical shape of my entire life, i would be slathered in box if i was younger and looked like this(i did pretty well though i must say) Had several series of bloodwork done, and test levels have risen slightly, but the LH level's were first recently checked and are low, DUH. Going to try out one more "test booster"(herbal), and continue my quest. Also going to start calling more doctors today. Thank you guys for chiming in!

Durak is correct. Oddly enough, I know reps at a rejuvenation clinic in the same area. I have to imagine that they also exist in The City. Due to your age, however, I would def suggest that you continue to look for an explanation and solution to getting your body into a state of natural production. As you state, you are too young. To supplement those hormones for the duration of your life, would suck and be damn expensive. Still, if no other docs can conclude an answer, a clinic may be able to.
