24 y/o, test 248 estro 72
way way out of wack, I exercise 5 days a week, eat right etc, doc perscribed gel, and arimidex , gave me the options for shots, but out of conveinence, I chose gel, now am regretting it, he said we can always switch to shots, my insurance has to do an authorization and I am hoping that it is covered, my dad is hypogonadic, but he is 57, any advice for the younger patients?

At this age there's got to be a reason for some of these numbers being out of range. Like you said, your Dad is 57 with Hypogonadism, which hits a lot of people later in life. I'm 43, and I started seeing the symptoms of this at/around 39 or 40. Is your pituitary function OK, and thyroid? What other stats can you share with us (height, weight, BF%)? I presume you didn't use any steroids in the past?
Sorry you have to go through this at such a young age.

yes that is a young age....but i always wonder how long i went around with low T and not knowing...it's nice that the younger guys are in touch with their doc unlike some of us older guys....so advice...
keep with the doctor and be patient and you'll learn a lot on this board as well...
question for you...did u get scribed the gel after only one blood test?

Agreed, at that age they should be looking for the cause of the problem. It defiantly is not age/cell related. Sounds like a real hormonal problem that can be caused from numerous things. They even did several test on me just to be sure before giving me the HRT.

5'11 170lbs, I am going to get an MRI of my pituary on thursday, still waiting for ins to approve the gel, I have felt like crap a long time, thankfully I am into working out so I stumbled across HRT forums, docs put me on a lot of BS meds when I was a young kid, I had a bad reaction to one, and they used a whole bunch of others to try and fix me, ssri's and stuff right when I was going through puberty, I am not a doc, but that could be a cause
