Low HDL(good cholesterol) for anyone on TRT
Im on Trt and one of the most seroius side effects is that it lowers good chloresterol(HDL). I take Rx omega 3 fish oils, cardio/train 5 days a week, very clean diet, and still it comes back low. I have been considering taking Lipid Stabil made by William Lleyellen co., supposed to help. For others that have been on for more than a year that have had the same problem find anything that helped your levels?

Taking in healthy fats, omega 3/olive oil/almonds/ and cardio are supposed to be effective. I do all of these, and still low HDL. Its an unfortunate side effect of Test and almost unavoidable. My concern is time. Its a precursor to hear disease because Good cholesterol(hdl) removes plaque that builds up in our arteries. I'm going to give the product Lipid Stabil a try and will let u know after next labs if it was effective. Thanks

What was your cholesterol before going on HRT? Also, exogenous Test will kill your HDL. Further, is there a history of high cholesterol in your family, specifically your father. Cholesterol isssues are definitley heredity. If your father has it, it's going to be past down to you. You could eat grass the rest of your life and won't matter. Mine ballooned up to 340 while taking 250mg of Test Enan. per week. Put on medication and it came down to 154 with a HDL of 99. The question I would like to find out is if Cholesterol meds interact with Arimidex .

Plain old niacin will help raise hdl. Flushing will occur but this effect can be lessened by taking a baby aspirin before hand. Under 1ooo mg will raise hdl. From 1-2000 ldl can be lowered also. You have to start small and slow and build tolerances to the flush but great stuff for your health.
Some take slo nicacin to help avoid flushes. There is not much evidence to suggest flush free niacin does the job.

I've used the flush free Niacin(still got some flushing though) with good results. The HDL and LDL saty WNL. The only thing a bit high was the tryglicerides.
