BLOODWORK in London
I live in London. 33 years old with a big drop in libido some two years ago. This is an ongoing problem. I had bloodwork done in November. The results were in the normal range but total testosterone was in the lower half of the normal range, the doctor (my andrologist) did not measure free test (only a Free Androgen Index - not sure what it means, which came out ok). Estrogen was in the normal range but was near the top of the normal range.
I know what the problem is - too much estrogen and not enough free test and total test. This can be fixed with regular doses of test e (which the doctor won't prescribe) and some proviron /masteron to combat aromatisation.
Im about to start a long six month cycle on an experimental basis to see if it works. My libido right now is weird - I get morning wood but there's little sex drive. I can get hard but don't feel a great urge to have sex. I think the high estrogen has a negative effect on libido and the only way to combat it is by increasing free test and dht and reducing estrogen.
But before I can do all this my basic issue is that I need to get regular bloodwork done. This is impossible at the usual hospitals where even if you pay for bloodwork they won't let you do it unless the doctors prescribe it. The UK is a nanny state and its pointless trying to fight it. Is there a licensed local lab somewhere in London where I can pop in for 20 minutes, give them a few vials of blood, pay for it from my own pocket and then get the results in the post? I need to be able to do regular monitoring of my hormone levels and rbc count etc before making a start.
Any help from a London resident here would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.
