My test results before I decide to pursue TRT or self medicate

Putting this up for my future ref as I can look back. I am still deciding if I want to keep persuing docs for TRT or just self medicate, or both.

I am just wandering why my free and especially bio test are so low? My doc set an appt for over 2 months from now. He's really only pushing Testim (dumb ass). But I am not going to use him for that crap. I will be looking for another endo now.

Your LH is a bit on the low side, which could be the culprit.

IMO - The doctor should be running a MRI and checking your pituitary gland. Have you already done this?

Also, it's summer time and your Vitamin D is low, what's up with that?

agreed with vetteman, you may be looking at a common case of secondary hypogonadism...

your endo if hes a competent one will get an mri of your hypothalamus and pituitary.

also dont self medicate, if you have good insurance you will save alot of $$

I have not had an MRI on my pit gland. If it is a common case of secondary hypogonadism what does that mean?

Haha I don't play in the sun much at all. Which is why I guess my vit D is so low. Only time I see the sun is driving back and forth to work. So maybe 15-20 mins each way on my left arm

Secondary is when the pituitary doesn't produce sufficient amounts of LH, which in turn stimulates the testes to produce testosterone . An MRI will rule out any tumors or abnormalities in that region of the brain.
