    Week 4 TRT

so i got my body fat tested at the gym and the guy told me i was at 17% with hand held. Well I went to clinic next day to get my t shot and they put me on some kind of machine that they said cost like 30K and it said i was at 24.7%.. Man did i want to cry because i sure as hell dont look like it for being at that time 200lbs. So i have been eating under 100g carbs a day and doing carido like noone's busniess and i went to clinic again 2 days ago and got bf test again and i was at 17.3% and have gained more LBM. I told the gym at the gym what the numbers said he he said it was BS because theres no way i lost those numbers in 8 days and that their hand held is more accurate. Does this make sence to anyone. I have lost almost 7 lbs and finally some abs are starting to show. I woke up this morning after a piss and weighed at 194.6

If you want to get a true assessment of your body fat look into hydrostatic weighing. Post a pic too. Head over to the diet section as well, sounds like your starving your body too. How tall are you?

Don't let any of that stuff discourage you. Stick to your routine, eat clean, and keep your TRT program and supplements consistent, and your results will show. Just to confirm, everything is OK with your labs, right? (Thyroid, lipids, etc.)

Find some place locally that has a DXA body composition scan test.

    http://www.edb.utexas.edu/fit/bodycompfit.php

We have a couple of doc's offices around here that have one. They charge about $50 to do the scan. It's well worth it -- the detail provided is very accurate.

How much protein (G's) are you getting on a average? Also, again, are your labs looking good?

I dont think the BMI machines are very good either. I have a hand held at home and used it the whole time I have been on a diet and after 70 lbs, it is telling me I have a higher fat percentage than when I started. The one at the Dr's office isnt really any better, hell I am vascular everywhere and have abs now and it still says I am 25% fat

I use pinch testing along with impendence since I have access to both when ever I want. I find that the impendence monitors run about 3% higher than the pinch testing(5 or 7 pt). But I have seen impendence testing that shows results that were way out there. the thing about impendence testing is that it factors the water content of the body, and is subject to whims so to speak based on what you've eaten or drank.

I think the key to any measurements is eliminating the variables. This means always using the same type of measurement equipments, doing it at the same time of day (preferably first thing in the morning), etc. For example, my weight can change 3-4 pounds throughout the day, so I always weigh myself in just underwear first thing in the morning. Same with any blood work I do.
