Currently on HRT got a Question

Endo has me on 500mg Test Cyp every 3 weeks, I feel good for like 2 weeks then it all goes down hill. Is there anyway I can confince him to put me on HGH if so what could be my resons for it rather then to grow in the gym. Its so annoying to go to office every 3 weeks for inj. He wont give out a script for it claims he cant!!

stevey, yes thats what he is doing 500MG every 3 weeks. I have read all over that this is not good cause the levels will go up and down. I asked Dr about this and he said this is how its done cause of its half life..... I want to get HGH from him but I dont even know if he will give me it

Doubt your going to convince that mindset to do more than the poor job he's already doing. HGH is a daily program, so that alone doesn't sound promising if he can only give you your Test shots every 3 weeks.

Speaking of that ... 500mg every 3 weeks is as about bad as it gets! Tell him that he must have been at a toga party the day they reviewed half life research in class. So yeah, you're probably on a serious roller coaster ride on that protocol. Something around 150mg/wk would help stable your serum levels noticeably. Also, he can give you a script, he's just ignorant to reality. Most guys on this forum have em.

Ask him to let you do your injections from home due to your work/life schedule, and then just break up the 500mg into shorter, more frequent doses. (ie 175/week, 125mg/E5D).

sounds like you Doc is a tool, also sounds like youre looking for suggestions to convience said tool you would prefer to be on HGH...wtf? If the tool wont let you inj yourself, thinks 500 E3W is good protocol, cant give you a script, what makes you think HGH is even a option with this dude?

suggestion 1- find a new doc
suggestion 2- learn hypnosis and hypnotize the beyotch
    suggestion 3- reread suggestion 1

If your body needs testosterone then switching to HGH only is the worse thing you can do. You will have elevated HGH levels, but low "T". If you're hypogonadism then getting your "T" is priority 1!!! Again, HGH is a daily program ... How will your doc agree to that when he can't do you any better than 3 weeks on the testosterone?

Get those test levels evenend out through weekley injections and you wont be wanting the HGH. Expecially with the difference in monthly cost, $55-$60 vs. $1000 to $1200 a month.

LOL ... What's funnier is that his doctor might just stop to give that option a little consideration.

So Went to Dr today and told him this 500mg every 3-4 weeks is not working well for me. That i feel my body crash. He said I can come into this office every 2wks for the injection to spilt the does up (this is going to cost me too much time and $$) so i asked for a prescription and i would do it at home and he refused. So now he wants to put me on 75MG AndroGel per day!! Guys help what do i do??

IA2 - it's time to find a new Dr. who understands how TRT works... It's completely legal for you to self-inject at home. Test C or E is MUCH cheaper than AndroGel or Testim.

Find someone else who will allow you to inject at least once weekly, get yourself off the ridiculous 3-week rollercoaster.

    Are you using insurance btw?

How was I able to know ahead of time that this would be the outcome with your doctor? Probably because these types are a dime a dozen and they're very predictable after only the 1st visit.

Your question is, "what do I do?" What you do is tell him to go blow and get with a doc/clinic/hrt specialist that won't treat you like a child. It's not your fault that this guy doesn't know his facts. The best message you can send to him is taking your business elsewhere. If he has a superior or dean of medicine that he reports to, then send that person a letter explaining your frustration. Use facts and be objective.

    Best!

I agree with everyone who posted. If a Doc is going to give you BS about not being able to give you meds for home, ask him if diabetics are treated the same way? How about if ppl with cancer who need strong pain killers, do they have to come in for a dose also? It comes down to money, every visit is not only a co-pay but a hefty charge towards your insurance.

Find a new doctor, explore your options. I was working with a doc who was perfectly fine with me giving myself my shots at home once a week, but she said having high E2 and low test was ok and was part of growing old and decided that I should just deal with it.

You're in a boat better than most ppl right now, at least you're getting shots and being treated. Some of us had to research and endure for months until we found someone who didn't claim personal ethics to cover up their incompetence.
