Thyroid hormone replacement = high testosterone?

When I had my labs done a few months ago I was showing low test and low thyroid. It seems there is a link between the two so if I were to get my thyroid levels into the normal should that naturally boost my testosterone to the normal levels without TRT?

I do know TSH is negatively affected by steroid hormone levels, i cant see the correlation with what your asking though.

What I'm saying is should a synthetic thyroid like synthroid or armour also raise my testosterone .

According to the few sites I googled, yes. They indicated that hyperthryoidism can also cause high testosterone .

    Link is Google...

    ;-)

However, here's a specific link within that Google search that is relevant. Tour de France Winner Landis says Thyroid drug for hypothyroid... There's plenty more, found by doing the first search.

that would result in high free test not total... my only guess is low test and low thyroid cud be a pituitary or hypothalamus problem.

OP best to ask your doc on this one.
