Sorry to pose questions, but have you confirmed that you don't have any primary issues? IMO, I don't think there's any real substitute for HCG in this situation. I'm personally not a big fan for going the clomid route unless it's being used for PCT or any method to restart the natty. HCG works independently from the pituitary, but provides the testes with the same LH signal as if the natty were functioning properly, without any increase in FSH. If children are not in the forecast, then that's the additional bonus. Also, for the price, you can't beat it.
