Has anyone received a prescription for deca while on trt?
I would like to try some low dose deca to alleviate joint pain. However, my doc is against it. Anyone been able to obtain a script from their doc/clinic? Has it been effective for you? What dose would you recommend?
Thanks

Yea, got one going right now ... Taking 300mg/wk through December.

Thanks JPK and Vette,
Has the Deca helped with your joints? What do you think the minimum dose/wk would be for joints (don't care about strength/size gains).
Thanks

i really thought it helped with a nagging rotator cuff and only ran 200mg ew

Me, too, and for the same reasons you're looking for. I ran 300mg EW the first time I cycled it and started at 200mg EW the second time. After six weeks at 200mg EW I decided it wasn't enough for joint pain relief benefits for me. BUT -- we're all different. For some people 100mg EW gives them good relief. There are a couple of factors that may have influenced the dosing effectiveness for me:
- The first time I ran 300mg of deca I was only running 400mg of test. The second time I ran 200mg of deca I was running 600mg EW of test. Test is known to inhibit collagen synthesis and the higher dose may have actually been working against the joint relief benefits of the deca.
- The second reason is the deca may have simply been under dose. It's hard to tell because I was running other stuff with it (and making great gains).

As mentioned, 200mg to 300mg is the place to be. Obviously start with the lower dose and see where you go with it, then decide if more is needed from there.

Right now I'm at 160/wk test, would 160/wk deca help with joints or is that too low? Of course that is if I can even get the deca in the first place.

That's pretty low but might be worth a shot. Dose effectiveness is very dependent on the individual. And to answer your question -- yes -- most HRT clinics will prescribe deca for issues that you have mentioned. Your family doc or a tradition practioner? Not a chance.

Arizona32, what is your age if you don't mind me asking? i am seeing my doc tomorrow and if the prostate exam goes well he will put me on TRT, but i am interested in this topic due to a mild rotator cuff pain. i will mention it to him tomorrow and see what he has to say, and I’ll post it here. of course i like to know for me too!

i think 160 could help but just fyi if youre trying to stay even with the test to prevent problems as long as youre running that replacement dose of text you will prevent it...you could be comfy doing 200-250 deca with that dose of test...
my .02
either way...let us know what you take and how it goes

I'm 34. TRT has been good so far except acne which I can't seem to get rid of, and a little more body hair. Good luck with appt., let me know how it goes.Last edited by arizona32; 11-29-2010 at 11:20 AM. Reason: quote

Truthfully, the BF subject will be heavily based on your diet, workout ethic, and making sure that you get a sufficient amount of protein. The diet section is a great place to read up on this subject if you haven't done so already. Never had any deca dick (thank God). As long as you're adding exogenous testosterone you should be fine, knock on wood, literally! And, it doesn't have to be an equal 1:1 ratio, despite a lot of myths stating other wise. 200mg of deca is usually the desired dose for joint relief, and it's a good place to start so you can see if there are any additional enhancements (or sides). Dunno if going lower will help or not, but let us know how it works with you with any dose.
Yes, I've upped it to approx. 220mg, but like mentioned above I'm not going with a 1:1 ratio, more closer to .73:1. Also going with 300iu x 3/wk on the HCG , so there's plenty of testosterone cooking at this point.
Ha, that crackers me up!!!! Na, there hasn't been any moonlighting to speak of, at least not on any of these types of forums. I've been really involved with helping the Mrs. get on track with her BHRT program, which is a really awesome thing!!! Yes, she needs to make a thread about this and hopefully I'll get her to do just that when a few things settle down. We found ourselves in Vegas over the holiday, and let's just say her method of appreciation went above and beyond! Hopefully will get back on the course of normality!!!

Exactly, LOL ... +/- .001mg variance on the amount in the syringe, divided over the standard deviation of actual concentration of medication that is suspended in any given vial of cypionate and nandrolone . ... Oh man, this is giving me a headache! Feels like I'm drinking winstrol !!!!

I get a script from my clinic. I've taken 200mg/week and it seemed to help with joint pain for me. I'm off it right now and still feel good (been off for about 3 weeks). During my next blast I'm going to run 300-400mg/week along with 600-800mg of Test and see what kind of strength and size gains I can make. The Doc upped my dose to 300mg/ml/week since I asked.

So here comes a dumb question but if Test is known to inhibit collagen synthesis is that ALL test or just cyp? How long before I start having joint pain and what can I do to prevent it from happening? I have been on HRT now a little over 60 days 200mg Test Cyp e10d with HCG 2xw and .5 anastizole 1xw
I am going to go to change my Test cyp to 200mg e7d soon. Changing to a different clinic which allows me much more freedom of choice.
Also I guess I cant name my new clinic I go through but I believe I can get about anything I want if I asked so for a 45 year old who is doing well and gaining mass on what I have been taking but would like to take it to the next level what would you suggest I add to my program?
