Trt ?
I originally posted this in the over 40 section. It was suggested to ask here.
Seeing how I have reached the wonderful age of 40.How do I go about the TRT thing? Do I need to go see a endo to see if I qaulify? Or do I just see a regular family doc I looked into some of the clinics and they are expensive.I would prefer to have my insurance cover the majority if possible.I have done the online questioners and they all say I am a candidate.
As far as stats
40yrs
6"
200#s
been in the gym since high school
diet is pretty good..I do not eat crap food.

Honestly, until you run a full blood work panel, you have no idea whether you need TRT or not. So that's the first step. I'd go to your family doctor and request a full panel to be done, making sure that includes total and free testosterone , IGF-1, as well as your estradiol (E2) levels and then go from there.

Go for it.
Most Docs are pushing low T lots of help from the testem gel folks. read up on the tests you need and what they mean. Most doc have little knowlage. beyond low T write a script fhey or cream make some money. Be ready to lead him along the way. Most will have little Knowlage of E2 and what the ratio should be.
Good luck

Make sure you listen to Frawnz and do a full bloodwork panel. I didn't do that and regret it. It gives you a baseline to compare against in the future, and it also can tell whether you will benefit from HCG .

That is all I have ever used.my ex wife was a D.O. My last doc just wanted to give me anti depressants even though I was never depressed.A lot of docs seem to not br accepting new patients right now.And do you think I should use a male or female doc? I have always used a female doc.

From what I have read on this board and my own experince. I think you have a better chance of getting on T with a male doc.

Plus, it's a bit more awkward saying "Hey Doc, do my balls look like shrunken raisins to you?" to a female Endo. For me anyhow.

Their not raisins yet.Now is it against the rules to talk prices quoted to me through a clinic?I figured I would contact a couple while I'm waiting to hear back from a couple docs local about accepting new patients.

We have discussed clinic prices here in the past. I always figured it was OK because it is legit and legal.
Speaking from personal experience, I had a great experience with a female doctor. But now she is moving out of state and I don't know if my next doc will be as flexible as her.

the price thing is a touchy one whether it is legal or not so best to leave it out...from what ive seen most hrt clinics are pretty competitive
