    Endocrinologist and testo

Next week I'm going to the endocrinologist and I'm wondering about a few things:

    - should I talk to him about my cure?
    - will he checks my T levels?
    - do external anabolics modify the way a tyroid works and the eventual treatment I might receive from the doctor? I believe to be hyperthyroidic.

Your first step is probably to describe your symptoms and concerns, and push for a full and comprehensive bloodwork panel.

Yeah I will have that approach

I wonder if L-Tyrosin (as present in my Perfomance whey) modify the production of Thyroxin (T4) , any tyroid expert around?

L-tyrosine is an amino acid dude. It's in your food too....

Your first step is telling the doctor your symptoms and conditions. Your next step is to be 100% honest with him in regards to all the stuff you've taken before (prohormones, steroids , other drugs, supplements, etc). If he doesn't order blood-work done, go find another doctor.

Yeah Funkymonk, I know it's in food like milk or cheese. Being in natural food doesn't mean it's thyroid neutral IMO

    Just found that on wiki:

The thyroid hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) in the colloid of the thyroid also are derived from tyrosine

Get a full blood panel taken and explain the symptoms your having.

L-Tyrosin is an amino acid, so dont worry about it.

Don't make up fake symptoms to try and get a scrip...the blood test will show whether you need TRT.

Yeah I will definitely push for a full blood panel. Can't wait to be on Monday, I'm sick of eating and being hungry again and again

Marcus, do you mean explain the symptoms here?

    - often hungry
    - fast early digestion
    - looking calm but nervous inside
    - fast end-digestion (probiotics and the whey don't help I think)
    - vertigos
    - tendency to be low pressured on blood
    - lack of motivation (winter depression? + recent 5 years relation break-up)
    - over average tremble of hands/fingers

I'm 28 yo and have never been taking injections (well just one shot of decadurabolin 7 years ago when I didn't know much about weights/diet; I was overtraining too). I did sports most of my lifetime. No real health issues except a small heart murmur due to scoliosis I developed younger (been growing too fast).

I keep you posted about what the endocrinologist says Monday.

Those are interesting symptoms. Curious to see what a doctor says. Have you considered going to a general doc rather than an endocrinologist? Hormones are rarely the cure for all things unless you are simply wanting a scrip for them...then they seem to be viewed as the answer to all questions.

    Docs always thought I'm normal.

I was born fat (biggest baby of the hospital) and been skinny since I'm 6 years old.

Just to clarify here, I am going to the endocrinologist to solve my weight gain issue, not to ask for testo cure (I can buy it myself). If the solutions he gives me doesn't improve my weight I'll do a TRT cure by myself. I don't expect him to give me TRT, just to point my eventual problem forbidding me to gain mass.

    Hey guys,

    I'm back from the endo.

I will have results in 3 weeks but he said that my gland growed from 1 cm to 1.4 cm (0.4 inch to 0.55 in) and that I was hypothyroidic in the past (2005) so I asked why can't I gain weight then? He said that's genetics, can't do nothing about it.
My grandmother is also hypo and has always been thin too.

He wasn't really talkative but he confirmed L-Tyrosine in my whey has an impact on thyroid. I didn't feel like talking about hormons as he was not receptive so I will take the medications he gives me and run a 8 week testo cure myself with usual training/diet and see the impact on me.

OK I just got the results from the TRH test

I'm hypotyroidic and my anticorpses are negative

    My Numbers (norm):
    Ferritine and calcitonine in ranges
    free T4: 12.1 pg/ml (8.9-17.6)
    Ac anti-TPO <10 UI/ml (<35)
    Ac anti-thyroglobuline <20 UI/ml (<40)
    Thyroglobuline 11.9 ng/ml (<55)
    TSH 0' 1.06 µU/ml (0.30-4.00)
    TSH 20' 5.85 µU/ml
    TSH 40' 9.24 µU/ml

    Hypophyse:
    Oestradiol: 41 pg/ml (<56 pg/ml)
    SHBG: 19 nmol/l (13-71)
    TRH test prolactine 0': 71 µUI/ml (45-375)
Anyone knows what the TSH numbers mean?

So the doc has given me L-Thyroxin at 37.5 µg/day. Next visit in 3 months.

That makes me one of the rare person unable to gain weight while being hypothyroïdic, I have red on some forums that on some people, fastening the thyroid functions did help them to gain weight... I hope it will be the case for me
