New Member needs help with blood test results!!!

Hello all, I have been lurking for quite some time now and have to say I am very impressed with the knowledge you all provide. I recently received results from my bloodwork and am hoping some of you may be able to shed some light on where I should go from here. I need to start on the right path and adjust if needed. Here are my #'s:

    score range
    tot test: 373 241-827
    free test: 8.5 8.7-25.1
    Estradiol: 20.2 7.6-42.6
    SHBG 34.3 14.5-48.4
    LH 3.2 1.7-8.6
    TSH 2.49 .450-4.5
    PSA: GOOD
Im not quite sure what to make of these numbers - At first before testing I thought my E2 would be high, but it isnt. Any feedback would be greatly apprecitated!!! Thanks

How old are you and welcome.

Tot is low, and by definition you are considered hypogonadal by your free number being out of range low - some doc's won't agree, but you can look it up - either total or free (and obviously both) being out of range low can be used to diagnose the condition.

What kind of Doc ordered the blood work for you?

    im 39, 190, 17%bf
Ive been feeling lousy lately, and figured some of my levels are low. So went to doc (acutally NP) and ordered some tests. She agrees Im low on test and suggested 100mg test cyp ew. Im thinking because of low LH it may be secondary hypo so maybe just HGH???

What??? Oh you mean HCG . Free test is king bro. You can sure try it first - no harm in that. How is your rest, diet and strength training? guessing you are about 5'8-5'9?

Yes HCG . Getting my acronyms screwed up. I wake up several times during the night - this has been happening for years now. Diet definitely needs to be dialed in , and havent lifted in about 2 yrs. I'm 6'0.

Whoa, I was way off - If I were you, I would get those things straight if you can, do it for about 3 or 4 months and get re-tested. But no doubt your low on free and total so the choice is yours especially since you have a cooperative doc. I am guessing you have all the symptoms of low t huh? Some guys need to get on trt before their body can make the adjustments - sometimes they can make the changes in their lifestyle and their t numbers go up naturally. No one is going to judge you - it is your call.

Hey Jp, I would like to get tot test up to at least 600, free test to a minimum 18 and Id like to keep the e2 where it's at which is 20. I may need arimidex but will do bw every month to check to see if adex necessary. I will certainly be working out and hope to get my bf% down to 12. I dont have access to a gym so Im thinking something like p90x???? Just want leanness and toning, a better overall quality of life - sleep improvement, and no brain fog. Plus it would be nice to keep up with my daughter this year hiking 14'ers.

You shouldn't worry too much about what they raise your test levels to. Your gauge should be the level at which your symptoms disappear. Some people, this will be lower and some, higher.
