Cruise and Burst
I hesitated on posting this tonight because I don't want my question to be an insult to those on HRT. So before anyone gets upset let me say that lifting weights and body-building has become a big part of my life and this question is strictly about the benefits of testosterone for body-building and not HRT Health.
I have been on HRT now about 5 months in that time I have gone from 170 pounds 5'10" at 46 years old to 195 pounds and still in size 32 pants.
Lately I have felt I have stagnated in the gym on growth and for the first time thinking about going beyond my normal dosage. I have never done a cycle and am a little scared of doing 500mg per week for ten weeks.
So those of you that have done this burst and cruise could I maybe go from my normal 200mg a week to 400-500 a week for one week and then back to normal levels for a few weeks and do it again and see some gains or maybe 2 weeks burst then cruise.
Anyone want to suggest the safest tried and true burst that they have done and got decent gains out of it. I figure I'm on HRT for life so I have time but I am thinking I am at a plateau and need to do something to spurt some growth. I want to get to about 210-215 body weight. I say I have time but I am 46 so not years and years LOL.

if you read the steroid article its not a very good idea to do one week at a high dose then go back down. if your thinking about this i would suggest 8 weeks at 600mg then go back down to 200mg for two weeks then do another 8 week cycle upping the dose a little. and so on and so forth. and dont be to worried about it 600mg isnt all that much, profesionals do 5gs+. not saying you should do that much unless your pro but you can see how little it actually is.

alot of people with low BF dont need anti E at that dosage but you also might be prone to gyno, you would probably have to up it to a gram or gram and a half per week.

street...congrats on the progress so far...
i wouldnt be afraid to ramp up to 400 or 500(400 is my highest) for a little blast...i would recommend having an AI on hand regardless of your bf%...
one other option is to add in some deca if you can get it and you would prolly get better gains than just ramping up the test

one week up then back down won't do any good, just mess up your levels (since your body will try to adjust). Best to go 10-12 weeks. It usually takes about 4-6 weeks for the levels to fully stabilize, that's when most guys start to feel it "kick in" and make better gains. 10-12 weeks won't mess you up especially if you research first, and have AI on hand.

Some solid advice in this thread so far.
Streeter, feel free to PM as always if you want to chat more. I've got some experience with cycling and blasting/bursting.
At first I'd start in some of the other sections on this site and some others and do some research on 'normal' cycling and possibly the effects/benefits of higher levels of test and other substances such as Deca mentioned above.
FWIW I'm in week 11 of my cycle/blast and will be done at week 16.
My regimine:
Weeks 1-6 Test @ 600mg
Weeks 7-12 Test @ 1,000mg
Weeks 13-16 Test @ 600mg
Weeks 1-16 Deca @ 600mg
Weeks 10-14 DBol @ 60mg/Day
When adding in more test and many other substances you are more quickly going to affect all of your body's systems. You need to pay special attention to your RBC, liver, HDL & LDL counts, PSA and BP. The longer you run a Blast or Cycle the longer you might need to take time off and run your normal HRT dosage to bring those aforementioned systems/counts back to normal range.

Yeah, I've never run a gram of Test before and I started only @ 600 and bumped it up. I'm finding that for me I probably don't have the receptor affinity that maybe some others do - meaning I'm not noticing a whole lot of a difference in muscle or strength gain from 600 to 1,000. Or maybe since I've only been on HRT for about 8 months now and my natural levels have been so low for so many years that maybe it will just take some more time to 'wake them up.'
I think on my next blast I'll run less Test - stick around 600mg and run EQ and see how that goes.

you should probably try some other components and see how you react, such as tbol and others. and that shouldnt be the case yuo should be more snesitive to the higher gear since you were so low for so long. maybe you just need to take a little break fromt he heavy cycles or try some shorter cycles.

in the sling shot method that i proposed earlier, he talks about doing 8 week cycles becuase its long enough for gains but not to long that your body adjust to the higher levels.
