Yes, there's Canadian research somewhere that says using an insulin syringe and shooting SC into stomach fat provides for steadier and consistent T levels and provides for a better sense of well being...but who knows...everyone's different. It won't hurt you either way; just a personal choice.

One thing tough, it's cheaper going SC and no muscle damage and pain from IM pins. But I'll bet it's a pain in the ass loading up insulin syringes with T Cyp.

once a week in the ass is not bad at all, but if this is true i would assume you have to do it daily! i just don't see how you can inject that much oil into the fat all at once!

The test is a oil base, won't go through the needle, usually insulin needle are 29, 30g. Its hard to get in to a 23g.

^^^^ I have a hard time getting it through a 23g as well. Can't imagine using an insulin needle. Plus, poking myself with insulin needles for HCG shots doesn't seem that much better than glute Test shots.

I read somewhere that someone did it and they had this like pocket of oil under the skin for a few days that was sore to the touch. I don't think it's a good idea.

I tried it - took FOREVER to load and shoot. Still sometimes when there is a tiny bit left in the vial I will use a slin pin to draw and inject in the delt area. If the t is made with ethyl oleate it can be done easier, but some people have reactions to that base.

I do SubQ with insulin needle. Pice of cake. Doc prescribed it this way. Do 2 times a week, not once a week, though. When I filled the script the druggest cautioned me that the cyp states IM. I said I know, and subq has been studied and is fine. He gave me the script but wasn't too happy that the doc gave it subq instead of IM.

    Please tell more GNBM?

Why did your Doc want you to go SC instead of IM?

How do you feel? Your sense of well being?

Protocol for your injections: mgs, injection schedule...

Time to load and inject (hear it can take long). Know one guy who pulls back on the plunger in vial and walks away for 10 minutes. When he comes back he adjusts to the correct dosage. I've thought about trying this to be hones and would like to know more.

    It's cheaper for sure.

    Thanks!

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17143361

CONCLUSION: Therapy with weekly subcutaneous testosterone produced serum levels that were within the normal range in 100% of patients for both peak and trough levels. This is the first report, which demonstrated the efficacy of delivering weekly testosterone using this cheap, safe, and less painful subcutaneous route.

sure pulling oil through an insulin needle is painfully slow but that doesn't mean sc injections don't work....personally i'd rather jab fat than muscle if the end result is the same.

    @gdevin:
    Answers to your questions . . .

Why did your Doc want you to go SC instead of IM? I didn't ask him why. Probobly because self-injecting SQ is much easier.

How do you feel? Your sense of well being? I feel a 1000 times better than before I started HRT. I couldn't get my ass off the couch. My recovery took a long time after a pathetic workout. The workouts were pathetic because I didn't have the energy and drive to do a hard workout. I am 52 y/o, 175lbs. I had been lifting and doing cardio with no results for 6 months before doing HRT. Within 6 months after starting HRT had added 10 lbs muscle mass and dropped 8% bf.

Protocol for your injections: mgs, injection schedule... Wed evening I do .20 ml cyp, Sunday AM I do .20 ml cyp. I started with .25 twice a week, but got sore nipples. Had gyno from puberty so this wasn't totally unexpected. 40 ml/week is good for me.

Time to load and inject (hear it can take long). I honestly can't tell you how long, but it can't be over 60 seconds to load. Injecting takes about 10 seconds if I rush it. Typically I try to pace it for 15-20 seconds. The cyp sits in my closet, my house is 72 F temperature. I bring out the cyp vial and load w/o warming it or anything. The needle is 27G 1/2 inch.

Test will pass through a very small pin even a 30 ga. I have been on HRT for over 2 years and honestly I got tired of sticking myself with 25 ga. I know some guys on here say shooting doesn't bother them but it does me. To the point where I considered stopping. I shoot Test Cyp twice a week in the quad now using a 1/2 inch 30 ga. I draw with an 18 ga., switch pins to a 30 ga. and warm it up a bit. Takes a while to push it through but I take my time and its virtually pain less. I'm at 10% bf so I'm not really sure if a 1/2 is going IM or not but now its so much easier on me and I haven't noticed any difference in how I feel. With the 25 ga. my leg was always sore for 2-3 after injecting. Now I have no pain while injecting or after and that is a big plus for me. Good luck 5.0

I had always heard that SQ works fine, but it takes longer for the body to absorb. That doesn't sound like a bad thing for TRT since we are going for steady levels.

I never considered it because I have no problem with IM.

This is a solid thread, thanks for the info!

My test numbers are good with total test 821 now (was 350). I forget the free numbers and am too lazy to look them up. If you put it in your body it will cycle through your system. The issue with IM is that you can shoot less often. With subq who cares because it is so easy to do.

I should have mentioned the 821 results are from when I was doing 100 mgs a week. I am now doing 80 mgs / week because of the high estrogen levels. My body converts easily (had puberty gyno). I "hope" my total test is now still in the 700's. I'll know in a couple more weeks for sure, because I have new labs coming up.

I tried it SQ this week. Note to self, next time only do 1/2 cc 2x a week as said above. 1 full cc leaves a little lump and is tender. LOL
