Testicular Shrinkage while on TRT!
for those of you who are on TRT and are done with having children, do you worry about testicular shrinkage? if so why, and how do you stop it from happening or reversing it?

HCG is used to prevent shrinkage.I'm not planning on having anymore kids. But still would like to keep the boys healthy for now.

I'm in that boat right now. Been on TRT nearly a year and started getting tiny-ball-syndrome late last year. I have purchased HCG from an online source but it's not legal and it ain't cheap. My HRT clinic will prescribe it but the pricing it absolutely ridiculous -- much more than it is online. My primary doc knows I'm on TRT but won't prescribe it. I'm in the process of trying to convince him it should be part of a normal TRT program by providing him with some links and info from Dr. Crisler but so far he hasn't been convinced. His solution is for me to tell my HRT clinic to cut my dose of test. :eyeroll: Considering my last blood work done in January show my test levels at the high but normal end of the reference range I'm not going to cut my dose. I know that even if I did cut my dose my LH and FSH would remain shut down and wouldn't do anything to rejuvenate my nuts. Another couple of months of this and I'm going back to the black market for more HCG.

I have been using HCG to combat testicular atrophy as well. I get it from my doctor, but it isn't cheap. Definitely more expensive than my Test.

The size of my testicles doesnt bother me, I use to take HCG but ive not taken it for yrs.
Its the size and hardness of my body what bothers me more its all about what you knock your wood in with not your balls.

There are more benefits of adding hCG than just the aesthetics. When your LH and FSH is shut down due to TRT, adding hCG helps rebalance your other hormones which in turn results in improved libido and overall sense of well being. Dr. Crisler spells out some specifics here:

Correct Ed. Also, you need your testes to function as it's the only source for Pregnenolone (unless supplemented); the foundation for most, if not all, other hormones as well. Without Pregnolone many things can go wrong notwithstanding mental function!
Plus, if a man on TRT ever decides to come off it they can have some confidence knowing their body will/may start-up and go back to "normal" pre TRT levels.Last edited by steroid.com 1; 03-06-2011 at 01:22 AM.

I noticed some shrinkage on my first round of therapy and ran HCG and clomid for a few weeks after to bring my testicles back. On this round of therapy they prescribed HCG on days 4 and 5 after injection. No shrinkage this time.
