Going into HRT with knowlege is a good thing though. Look at how many posters talk about their doc's bad advice!

I was one of those that felt the benefits on day 3. My weight lifting sessions immediately improved, but the thing that surprised me so much was how much my cardio sessions improved. Prior to HRT I did cardio for six months. 5 minutes into a 20 minute session on the stair stepper at level 6 my heart rate was hitting 150+ (I am 52) during the high interval. This hardly improved even after 6 months of doing the stair stepper 2 times a week, along with other cardio and weights. Two months after doing HRT, my heart rate barely broke 140 and that was towards the end of the 20 minute session . . . PLUS I had increassed to level 9 on the stair stepper. Turns out my heart muscle couldn't get stronger either before I started HRT.
