When does the injection soreness finally end?

I have been on TRT for roughly 2 months now inject 2x's per week.It never fails, the injection spot is always sore for 2 or 3 days.I rotate quads and started using delts again.Any chance it could just be the oil the pharmacy mixes in?If so could I have them use a different oil?

i inject really slow then massage in a circular motion for a minute or so. i used to get sore for days, but not anymore! what also helps is right after i inject i do my cardio, walk for one hour! i inject on the glutes, so walking helps massage the muscle!

bass has some great advise there. Try the Glutes thats where I inject and go real slow. I mean at least 60 seconds per ml. Then let the pin sit for a few seconds before pulling it out. I find whenever I mix my test with B12 I get sore probably because I'm injecting almost 2 ml total so I don't do that very often anymore. I have never pinned a quad and don't like the thought of it.

i've only done glutes in 5 years with 23 guage and do the massage technique...i occasionally end up with a sore spot (prolly like 5 times so once a year)..i havent figured out if its from nicking a vein or shooting too fast but its so seldom its all good...the other day i'm pretty sure i knicked a vein there wasnt any blood but i got that wheezy/coughing sensation in my chest

I push it in slow and rub it in.I will also throw a heating pad on the site for a few minutes also.Doing glutes is a spot I'm not even comfortable trying yet.I'll try the cardio after the injection and see how that works.

    I use a tiny 25g 5/8" needle.

I draw up with the big ol 18g, but really I find the outside portions of my thighs to be perfect with thinner skin, I am almost never sore after an injection either.

    Happy poking

What size needle do you use for that area?

23g x 1.5" its pretty thick muscle but small area, so you got to find the center and go for it.!

Go slow when injecting works best for me also, rear delts and glutes. My girl pinns me and massages it in for a minute that helps too.

I feel it the next day. But it's usually not sore unless it's virgin muscle. Injecting slow as mentioned above is good advice. If you like the quads, sit on the floor with one leg over the other and the muscle will be as relaxed as you are going to get it. Good luck. I'm sure it will get better with time.

But still, how long does it take you to inject? I take over a minute to do 1cc or a little less. One minute vs 2 days of soreness, I like those odds. I almost never get sore, almost... I dont rub/massage or warm my test first. I have been doing it over 3 years, quads 99% of the time. I also use a 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 25g most of the time. I think 5/8 is borderline to short unless you have sub 9% bf. and 1 1/2 minimum for the glutes.

A few other things people do wrong is inject with the same pin as they draw with. Dont do that, it dulls going into the stopper. Also DONT wipe the needle/pin before injecting. This takes off the sterile lubricant on the pin.

    Good point.

That is why when I use the 5/8" pin I go into the outer portion of my thighs, or delts, where there is very little fat to pass through.

This length would be no good at all for glutes.

I do the same with 1in but I notice if I use longer, 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 even in the quads I am less likely to get sore. I think the deeper the IM the better. I have tried one SQ injection with a slin pin as some have suggested and I was sore for 2 weeks.

If you hit the subq/muscle border/lining it is going to hurt. Get into the muscle or do subqu by pinching up the skin to make sure you don't go near the muscle.

Small number of pins for me, but so far, two days of soreness in my quads using 23G1 and injecting 1ml of test. cyp. I should inject a little more slowly I guess.

20g pin hell no...go to ar-r board sponsor and order some pins..Now I took a combination of advice here and so far no soreness at all.I used a 25x1 pin and injected well over a minute. Now I still warmed the oil and massaged the muscle. If this works it must be that I am injecting to fast.I was going to try the cardio but I'm still down with the flu.So I just did some squats and went to bed.

yes it could be how the pharmacy is compounding it.

You can always give SubQ a go. Twice a week here and no soreness at all.

Injected last night. 1ml test. cyp. from a 23G1 pin into my quad. I injected a little more slowly than the last two times (maybe 20 secs.?) and massaged the area a bit after I pulled the needle out. Then, I went and did a 30 minute workout that was at least part legs. Got the blood flowing in the quads with running and lunges. Today, no soreness in my quad. Last two times I injected, then watched TV for a bit and went to bed. Both times I was sore for two days afterward.

So, my new routine includes a workout after injecting just to get the blood flowing into my quads. Hopefully that works better. May work for you guys too.

Just a "data point", but I injected Sunday evening. After the injection, sat in my big overstuffed chair and drank some more wine. Next few days, my quad was sore. Immediately after a few previous injections I did a workout involving at least some legs. No soreness afterward. So for me at least, it seems that a good workout after injecting prevents most of the soreness associated with getting that test. cyp. into my quads. Going slow and using a finer gauge needle doesn't hurt matters, but getting all that blood pumping into my quads seems to help most.
