Between a Rock and a Hard Place
Whats new everybody? Its been awhile since I have been in the forums and this is the first time posting in the TRT section.
Long story short, I basically feel like my hormones and test levels are out of wack and without a job and insurance, I have no idea where to start. I feel like crap on a daily basis. Zero energy, little motivation, and very little mental focus. I have seen a few docs which basically just resulted in consultations because I couldnt really afford to do any tests. Both basically said that they think Im suffering from depression and anxiety and that other than that, medically they dont think anything is wrong with me. How they know this without doing any tests is beyond me. Honestly, at this point I think I am suffering from some depression but its caused by the fact that I feel like sh*t on a daily basis and feel like I cant do anything about.
There is more info that I could explain but at the risk of rambling on and on in my first post it would probably be easier for you guys to just ask me the proper questions and I can fill in the blanks.

Also, I know without proper bloodwork, there is little you guys can do for me, so I guess Im also looking for any info or avenues you guys could help me explore to get that done as well.

assuming you are correct and tbh men approaching 40 give or take its not uncommon, the best i can advise bro is an inexpensive doctor that will be willing to put you on test and the cheapest form...injectible....as far as bloodwork goes heres a couple sites that you can get your hormones checked for reasonable(without a doc rx so you can check first and bring with to a doc appt.).... and if u can find a doc like mine ($80 for first visit and $60 for follow ups) you can get out cheap...best i can do bro

Thanks for the reply JPK and also for the links. Im only 31 so dont push me towards 40 too fast! I still have a little ways to go! lol. I will look into some of the at home tests you posted up as that will probably be the way I go.
I think I have been suffering from low T for awhile now but then I ran a Spawn cycle (PH) about 2 years ago and just never felt like I recovered from it. Sent a couple PM's to I think Swifto and someone else picking their brains about what was going on with me and they both recommended blood work.
Also, I got a decent case of gyno that popped up after the Spawn cycle even though I ran a proper PCT and I noticed that I have a clear to milky colored liquid that comes out of my nipples when squeezed. From what I have read, this is a prolactin issue but other than that Im clueless so if anyone else can shed some light on that for me that would be great. Kind of creeps me out. I mentioned it to one of the docs that I saw and he just kind of shrugged it off so I was like, "so are you saying thats normal???" And he said no but he just didnt seemed concerned and basically changed the subject.

Hey jbran. How are things outside of the hormonal arena? I agree that docs like to push anti-depressants (SSRIs) when they may not be needed, but they do have their place. I'm not assuming anything, just trying to explore elsewhere since without bloodwork, we can't determine if test is the cause. Feel free to PM me if you want to keep it private.

Honestly, my life is good. The only things Im not happy about at this point is feeling like crap every day and having a hard time finding decent work. I moved from upstate NY down to Florida 2 years ago and I love it here. I love the weather and the beaches plus I met a really cool girl and we get along great. I feel like if there are depression issues for me, they are caused by just not feeling well and having it interfere with my daily life, not the other way around.

In other words, I feel like shit all of the time therefore Im depressed, rather than I am depressed therefore I feel like shit all the time. Its almost a "chicken or the egg" type of thing but thats the easiest way I can explain it.

I got ya. I know when I first decided to change careers and struggled finding work in my new field, I was down a lot because I had always been working and then I wasn't. Subconsciously it was frustrating as well.
