24 Year old Need help!

Hello all,

New to the forums and hoping to get some guidance and information. I have been looking around and reading the stickies but have a few questions. I have had a few S/S of low testosterone levels but had some blood work done up just to be sure.

My levels came back at
Total T = 297
Free Test = 57

Doctor informed me that at 24 years old I should have levels of 400-600 range of Total T and free test levels significantly over 100. Doctor wants to prescribe Testim and I am unsure of where my levels should be for my age. I do not want to end up going on Testim and having it cause more problems than it's worth.

Welcome Blahz! You've come to the right place.

For starters, can you post your entire blood work including ranges? I don't know what your Total and Free T means without ranges. Assuming a Total T range of say 280 to 1100 ng/dl you are very low for your age. Free is a total guess what that means without a range.

If you Doc says you should be in the 400 to 600 range then there's something causing this as it's not age related. Did he tell you if you are Primary or Secondary Hypogonadism? At your age to be this low could point to a number of things like Testicular, Hypothalamus or Pituitary abnormalities.

I wouldn't suggest going on any TRT protocol till you understand why this is happening to you. Have you had any injuries in the past? Are you taking any meds? Have you boosted in the past...AAS?
