HRT with Test Cyp and HGH
Hello to all;
I have been put on HRT with a combination of Test Cyp 200mg/wk and HGH 1.8mg/day.........I want to take advantage of this and get back in shape.
39 yo 5' 7" 210 20% BF, I want to loose BF and gain some of the muscle that I have lost by not working out.
I will be monitored by my Doctor to make sure that there are no side effects to this HRT plann that he has for me.
Can anyone please give me some guidance as to what should I expect from this combination, I started to lean out my diet by cutting out fast food and adding a protein drink before and after a workout and my calorie intake is at 3500 and burning about 3900-4000 (using bodybug) ...... Please help
thanks in advance

Don't try to accomplish too many things at once. Definately start a good workout program with weight training, get in some aerobics too. Focus on doing the right things -- clean diet, weight training, aerobics -- and not about results. The results will happen if you do the right things.
If you workout, especially with resistance training, you will definately see an increase in muscle mass. How much your body fat goes down depends on how well you do on the diet end of things. But reducing body fat will be easier since you are increasing muscle mass.
Give very little important to the scale at this point. If you are adding muscle, you may not lose weight. But adding muscle and staying the same weight means you will reduce fat. Pay more attention to the mirror and how tight your pants are, than the scale.
Take pics NOW! Put on the tighty whities and get in front of a full length mirror, unless you have a spouse who can take the pics for you. Do the front, back and side shots. Do some muscle poses. They aren't going to be nice, don't worry about that. Six months from now you will be glad you took the pics today. Everyday you don't feel like working out, look at your fat pics!
5' 7" @ 210 and 20% BF? And you are not working out? Seriously? If this is true you don't need to workout. You have a ton of muscle on you already. Honestly, the BF % is a lot higher isn't it? Step 1 is being honest with yourself. Six months from now the change will be so much better if you start with the true baseline numbers. No need to alter the truth.
I put on about 15lbs of muscle mass in the first 3 months. Lost 15 lbs of fat. No change in weight. I was doing 100 mg/week, no HGH.
There is lots of good information in this forum. Read through the posts to educate yourself.
Welcome and Good luck!

Thanks for the advice....... and the number are real had 24hr fitness and Golds Gym test the BF%............I was a PJ in the Air Force and did a lot of training with strenght and weights my best shape while Active Duty was 235 6% BF and the no working out part, twice a week to me is not working out.
I am realistic and know that I can not get there at my age but do want to cut some of the fat out and get a bit lean. My body is strange, it will not show a lot of cuts, will show mass but the strenght has always been good, even in high school while playing Football, Baseball, Track and Dance I was at age 15 185lbs (short and stocky) and began to gain solid muscle up to the 235, keep in mind this was monitored and put in place by the military for the PJ's.
I greatly appreciate the comments and will take to hart all the advice that I can get from all of you that have experience with all of this.

"I am realistic and know that I can not get there at my age." WTF! Yes you can. Just lose the negative attitude first off. After that it just going to take time, effort and discipline. Your 39 not 69. I'd love to be 39 again. Set small short term goals and work toward achieving them. Everything GNBM said is on target BTW. Remember that your body will struggle to hold on to what it's used to and fight adapting to your new diet. So hang in there and it will in time start to change. Especially with the meds your on coupled with proper bloodwork, you'll be in good shape before you know it. Find what motivates you. I'm almost 54 and have a 9 yr old son. That motivates me to stay in shape as I don't want to be the "old" dad. If I'm going to be older, at least I'm gonna be in kick ass shape. So, change your workouts around frequently, experiment. Remember, what works for someone else may not work for you. Work outs don't have to be drudgery. You will get there. Be disciplined!

Just lucky that way. I eat clean but don't diet. Mostly ectomorphic so what I gain is quality. Christ, I haven't done a set of abs since my last contest. that was 89. Only do cardio once a week when I cut the grass. Not 54 yet. Got a few more months at lovely 53! Gotta stay in shape. Waiting for gixxerboy1 to introduce me to his sister-in-law in Russia..........and thanks jp
