    Dosages of Aromasin or Arimidex

If a person knows that their estrogen is very high. Can they take larger doses of Aromasin or Arimidex to bring the estrogen down faster, or should they stay within the standard typical dosages.

Ex. Can I take, like 25 mg of aromasin initially to bring down my estrogen level quickly?

Do you mean .25? 25 mg would be VERY BAD.

Sort of like "If one sleeping pill works well how about if I take 25?"

From what I've read you probably take a single (1mg pill) and then start taking .25 or .50 EOD and then see where your at after a couple weeks.

How much T are you taking?......that will make a difference as well.

Great question. I'm curious to find the answer as well. My last labs showed my estrogen to be at 127!

Aromasin is differently dosed than arimidex (anastrazole) and although i have heard of 25mg(aromosin) doses on trt....i wouldnt be able to give you any personal experience just that i've heard of such a protocol

In my case, I wasn't taking an AI. I had no gyno issues, no noticeable bloating; I just didn't feel "optimal". I was on 200mg/w test cyp. Now I'm not sure how to bring down my levels. Front load and then try .5mg anastrozole 2/W? Or no front loading at all? How long will it take my body to metabolism the estrogen that is in my blood? Will adex knock it down or does it only stop new test from converting to E?

If remeber correctly the half life of E2 in the body is around 3 days which is almost the same half life as Adex(wonder if that was intentional) Adex only stops the production of new E2.

I think Aromasin and Arimidex both kill off estrogen, but estrogen can rebound on Arimidex. Dex also hurts your knocks down your cholesterol, good as well as bad. I'm about to get some aromasin and I was wondering if I should just take it at 12.5 mg EOD or take a full 25 mg ED. I'm looking for that sweet spot where I can feel libido, competent hard ons, the size gains, etc. Right now I am on 500 mgs of test per week and don't feel anything except the sluggish, unhealthy feelings that indicate imbalanced hormones (mostly high estrogen).

Sorry.....I was under the impression that Aromasin was the same potency as Arimidex .

Aromatase Inhibitors (AI) like Anastrozole or Arimidex bind to the Aromatase enzyme and prevent it from converting testosterone to estradiol (E2). AI's don't work directly on E2 nor estrogen receptors.

Using an AI in your protocol prevents the loss of testosterone to conversion to E2 through aromatization and also helps to lowers your estradiol which helps keep your androgen receptors available for testosterone.

as we've discussed this many times before, everyone reacts differently on different doses, but at 500 mgs test ew i bet you are way high on e2, my suggestion based on experience would be .5 mg adex ed for the first week then adjust based on symptoms or blood work! i haven't tried Aromasin but will soon! BTW, why 500 mgs test ew? are you blasting?

Glad to get your response, Bass. This is exactly what I am looking for. I need to maintain until my bloodwork on the 31st or the 1st. I also like your question about the test dose. Hopefully, I can be enlightened here on some details I've been missing.

First... I am taking Sustanex, which is a 5 ester blend. It's a 375 total per ml, but 90 mg are fast acting (Acetate and Propionate ). The rest are Phenyl, Cyp, and Undeclynate. That's about 525 per week total and only 340 are longer esters. I'm not sure if that makes much of a difference. Should I be operating on a lower dose of test? Also, how long does it take, at .5 ED, to rebound and start feeling the libido, the gains, etc?? I think a mistake I make is thinking that I will feel it in just a day or two. Correct me if that is wrong. Thank you.

if you're asking about the effects of adex, yes you should feel better with in a day or two! my e2 was at 102 and within one week of .5 adex ed it went down to 18, and i was on 200 mgs test cyp ew. you still didn't answer my question, are you blasting or this is your TRT protocol? the optimum dose for TRT is 200 mgs per week, so anything more then that is really considered blasting! just my opinion!

I guess I'm blasting then, Bass. I have no prescribed protocol. I am ashamed to admit that I've trusted in others for advice and found out later that their advice was not very sound. After this estrogen fluctuation, I am beginning to understand the advantages and reasons for PCT more and more. I really want to learn more because I love the advantages of TRT and HRT. I'm going to a urologist on the 31st, so from there I will know a lot more about myself. Hopefully, this doc offers his services to keep my hormones in the optimal range.
