Gel Users - Axrion
Many men who use Gels are concerned about transference to family members and rightly so. Looks like Lilly came out with Axrion, a new gel that is applied to the armpit of all places significantly reducing the risk of transference. This may be a nice option for many members who use Gels in the traditional application.
Testosterone topical solution (Axiron) for hypogonadism.

Abstract
The Medical Letter recently reviewed a topical gel formulation of testosterone (Fortesta) for treatment of hypogonadism in men. A topical testosterone replacement product for application to the axilla (armpit), Axiron (Lilly) solution, has now become available for the same indication. This site of application presumably minimizes the risk of transferring the drug to a family member or sexual partner.

One poster here had said that he was on Axiron. Another recently said he was put on Fortesta, but is using his quads as the application site. I like the idea of quads better than armpits. I think it is a 2% gel, which I didn't know was approved for use in the USA. My endo didn't know that either, but why am I not surprised at that? In the meantime, my endo upped my dose of the 1% gel to 8 pumps (10gms), so I have gel about everywhere on my upper body.

Will he re-write you for the 1.62%. I was on 12 pumps of 1% at one point. Now using 6 of 1.62....
