how long for trt to work
For libido, ED issues? I've taken roids since I was 21, now 31. My last cycle was of Test E 500mg for nine months solid. I've had an alcohol problem which I've now sorted out. My endo wouldn't put me on TRT whilst I was drinking. My girlfriend left me but there are quite a few women who want to **** me and I can't do it. I'm completely impotent because of this.
How long does it take to kick in? I was a walking boner on Test E no AI needed but after pct I became limp. This is seriously screwing me up. I need my life back.

I know a lot of guys are going to say their ED and sex drive "went through the roof" when they started a TRT protocol...but there's more and more evidence that may be more placebo then anything else. Many guys still need a PDE5-I to help with erections while on TRT and many still seek ways to increase libido as well.
Testosterone , in my opinion, is not the Valhalla for increased libido and erections as many will make you believe. The complexities between the sympathetic and parasympathetic pathways are very complex.

You really sound like your issues need to be addressed with a physician. As much as people are able to help on the internet there is no substitute for a trained physician to be able to interpret all your symptoms, history, and your blood work.
Nobody can tell you outright how you, or anyone, will react to TRT. But what you can usually expect is a greater sense of well being in around week. As far as ED issues go, it seems like T might be a problem for you, but it might not be, or it might simply be one of numerous. Nobody here can tell you what's exactly going on.
I really urge you to find a physician who will work with you to tackle this tough time you are having in life.

GD,
We can find more studies that show it does help. I don't think it is an "end all" solution for libido and ED, but I for one, know that it helped my libido increase a thousand percent. Now I will also acknowledge that at some point, the self confidence and better overall health contributed to good sexual function as well. This is an interesting subject though. I will start a poll to get some feedback and real life experiences from our members.
