sweet spot
If you start TRT with 100 mg of Test Cyp per week
Do you increase the dosage every 3 months until you know what dosage is your sweet spot and makes you feel best?

The general idea would be to check labs and interview the patient and based on both labs and patient description, make a decision to increase/lower/leave the same/add an AI etc.

Your not looking to cycle. This is for the long term. Agree with what FFM said above. You have to be honest with yourself as well as thoroughly review your BW and make an informed decision with your doctor to increase or even decrease dosages. Every "body" responds differently and you have to learn how yours responds. You may get a better response from 100mg than what other people do from much more. Most everyone has to tweak dosages especially when/if you add in an AI and HCG .
I think GNBM (could be wrong) said it this way in an earlier post, and I paraphrase: "More isn't better, better is better." That statement really sums it up. Be objective with yourself when you judge how you feel. Keep copies of your BW for comparative purposes and take notes on how you feel at each adjustment. Good luck!

i been feeling better on 100 ew than 200, but just to be sure i upped my does to 120 ew. the beauty if slin shots makes it so easy to get an accurate dose! i did this only because i am on var, but most likely I'll go back to 100 once i am done with var. of course I'll report back with results!

If you want to find the sweet spot, before moving up, try moving down. Start with 80 mg / week. You will probably have to adjust AI if you are on that.
Once you move up, mentally it is harder to go lower than your starting dose. So try lower now, before you test out 150, 200, etc.
The downside to less is you are not going to have as much benefit in the gym. So if that is your main yardstick, just cycle and be done with it. If you want to find where you feel best and you are healthiest, you have to consider that you are already too high and also try lower, as well as higher.
At 80 mg/week and 250 HCG 2x/week, my last bloodwork came back with total T @ 810 (250-110) and free T was 226 (35-155), E2 was 20 (<39). My free T was very high! Going into the bloodwork I knew my T was too high by my symptoms. That euphoric feeling was gone, I was having muscle tension, and I had to take a ton of AI to keep the gyno at bay. The bloodwork confirmed what I had already learned about my body. Not exactly sure why the free T was so high (theories but no definative answer yet), but the point being you have to zone in on how you feel and learn those symptoms in relation to where you are at.Last edited by GotNoBlueMilk; 11-13-2011 at 07:09 AM.

Mate,
you won't feel your "sweet" spot. This isn't guess work. Do this right, and get the labs done. you should be in the upper range of normal for a 21 year old. If above that range, then you reduce. I went from 100mg cyp week to 80mg cyp a week because I was above range. You will be taking test the rest of your life, so for TRT, less is more.

Right now i have been put on 200ml 1CC per 7 days, blood test will be taken then my medical doctor said he will re-adjust the dosage. Like many of the guys here i feel its a very high dosage, compared to what the guys here are getting, my guess is that at some point i should drop to lower range.
When it comes to testosterone and drugs there must be no guess work, everything must be done in proper order.Last edited by yannick35; 11-13-2011 at 09:42 AM.

Times is right, that sweet spot comes from being diligent and working closely with the DR/Clinic etc. good blood work. I've been TRT over 2 years have had blood work about every 3mos. just got to the point the DR says 6 mos will be ok. Lower Test, with higher HGC and steady AI did it for me very prone to gyno. Gyno at 48 without AAS use was what got me started.

You might feel a little better at 150 but that alone would not mean it's better for your overall health......which is the main point to all of this.
150 might just = too high of a total and free test. levels for long term use. Then again it might not be enough. Everyone is different.
You need to go by symptoms and test results.

yes i think thatt what double chicken is after, we all know more is not better, but how can anyone know if they don't try it?! we're only talking about few mgs at a time for example from 80 to 100, or 100 to 120 and so forth... i know for me at 200 is not better compare to what i am on right now which is 120.

Well I started with somewhere between 80 and 100. It is hard to measure that small a dosage but I am starting at the low end and see how it goes and what bloodwork shows.
I am excited because I found a doctor that understands the importance of HCG , AI and running full labs!

Good work! 80-100 seems like the general consensus of what most people "feel" good on. On the other hand, there are lot's of factors at play. For instance if you have taken cycles before and your body is used to heavy androgen your TRT dose will be higher than a guy that has never had high androgen level's.
I know some guys that were heavy user's and they use 300ew as their "trt" dose. But for most guy's its 80-150. And if you are going on for life you have a lifetime to "experiment" which dose works for you since you are monitored by blood test every few month's along with a doctor to help you along. And your levels might need to be adjusted as time goes by.

I feel good at my prescribed 200mg/week, and my labs show that is a good dose for me. Definitely do not go by "feel". I feel great at 600mg/week...which tells me that going by feel is not the smart thing to do regarding health.
I am just throwing my two cents in...I can tell you are headed down the right path.
