My Labcorp blood panel
This was my yearly blood test. I got just the basic's because I am paying out of pocket.
Stat's. 30 years old. workout 3 days a week weights 2 a week cardio. Diet is low cal 40/40/20
supplements: fish oil, creatine, protein powder, multivitamin, flax oil.
Blood was taken on 12 hour fast 1.5 hours after waking up
Albumin 4.4 3.5-5.5
WBC 6.0 Range 4-10.5
RBC 5.1 Range 4-5.6
Glucose 90 Range 65-99
Testosterone Total 454 Range 348-1197
LH 5.1 Range 1.7-8.6
FSH Serum 2.5 Range 1.5-12.4
Estradiol 25.5 Range 7.6-42.2
IGF-1 354 Range 117-329
I was surprised by my test and igf-1 level's. I was surprised that my igf-1 levels were high and was surprised my test levels were 454. I thought my test levels would be higher at 30?
I do find I don't recover as fast as I did before and energy level's are not great and libido is just ok. Oh well!

Looks normal to me...would have liked to have seen more.
Your IGF-1 is high and nothing to complain about. I'm 51 and higher then that...naturally to boot! My Doc is jealous.
Only thing I see is your Total Test is on the lower side for a guy your age. I was at that range at age 45.
An AA Doc would get your TT up to 900 if you were interested.
IMO, nothing here to worry about...for now.

Thanks GDevine. I'm not sure if I want to do injections at such a young age. I have MPB so creams would not be a good idea.
I recently came off a 500 cal deficit so my test levels might be low from that. I'm sure 900 level would give me more energy and faster recovery from workout's though. I have access to test, hcg , and liquidex and read extensively on protocols (Dr Crisler in particular) so it is tempting. But might give it a wait!

yeah I don't know why my test levels came out that way. I was dieting which I know can cause a temp. decline in test level's. I am going to retest in a few month's or after Christmas and see if they have improved.

Your total T is low for that LH value. Either the diet is the cause or your leydig cells are starting to decline and not responding to LH as well.

right, another member that is 23 posted his results and his LH was 2.1 with a total T 20 points higher than mine while my LH was 5.1. So if I'm understanding this right the LH stimulates the testes to produce test and a high LH should correspond with a high T value?

Yes, a low LH means low T levels unless you are doing TRT. With TRT LH and FSH are always low.
If LH is high T should be high too. But if LH is high and T is low, then you suffer from a degree of hypogonadism. Since stimulating LH will not increase T levels, you have to go to TRT. But of course, this assumes there is no other cause for the low T. For example, major stress can lower T levels because your body consumes the T to fight the stress. Stress can be mental or pathological, such as Lyme disease. Everything has to be considered, not just the total T level.

i am also 30, my LH is much lower, but my free test is 418. doctor said i can be treated based on my symptoms. so imagine if u are feeling it you could do the same. trying something else for now but might start TRT in several months.
our test at this age really should be higher, i sure feel it. would love to be at my 20 yr old levels.

mid 400's aren't too bad. (AACE guidelines say hypo is not until below 300ng/dl) I still gain muscle just hard to get rid of fat. I just came off a 5 month cut so my test level's might be lowered. I ate a lot of sugar the day before the test which can skew the results even though it was a 12 hour fast. I didn't know this at the time. I also suffered adrenal fatigue for a few weeks last month until I figured out that I cut out salt and therefore didn't get enough iodine.
I am going to up my cal's a bit and bought some lugols (spelling) solution for iodine and also take a good mult. I have a feeling that with my high LH level's my total test will climb to 600.
What levels (test range) do you guy's "feel" the best or have the best sense of well being? I heard that around 600-800 is a sweet spot for most guy's? And that some guys that were in the high range before (1000) and felt better when they came down a little?Last edited by Brohim; 11-25-2011 at 09:38 PM.
