You guys may enjoy this blog post...I know I did.
Two take aways; 1) the first Endo here is so typical it's not funny and 2) the man took control of his health and read about the results.

Great post GD, we've been taught to listen to the doctors thats all well and good if the doctor has a clue. More often we hear of these clueless jerks screwin guys around.
Awesome the guy found his answer.

Very interesting read. Especially the part about him getting sick less often since starting TRT. I never realized it before, but I can also say the same for myself now that I think about it. Since starting, I've can only recall one bad cold in the past almost two years. Prior to this I would easily get sick 3 to 4 times a year. Do you think there's any correlation?

This is a pretty pickle... he had a genetic condition that is usually picked up in genetic testing as a baby. The docs he went to didnt know that, and to order a genetic test on all people that present problems can get pretty costly for not gettin much info related most of the time.
On the other hand, its good he finally got things squared away and seems to have had a bad experience due to it being a genetic issue.
as for docs being clueless, they are all very smart and good at what they do. Usually other issues get in the way (ego, attention to minute detail, stress... etc) the best docs arent necessarily 'smarter' than other docs its just that they have a knack for finding obsure things which can lead to a better diagnosis of a rare case.
surgeons on the other hand, there is definately a 'skill' set there that can be compared to each other, but as a whole they are all very very good.
as for test and the immune system, most of the 'test helping supplements' are refered to as immunity boosters. Its a key part in the immune system, and lack of test would def put a hamper on that.
