hcg help please
My doctor finally perscribed Hcg . The problem is now That I only will use about 1000 International units On my protocol every 30 days. My Pharmacy can only get a Vail with 10k units which is expensive with no insurance coverage. (Refuses this med) so I would waste 9kyour units every month because of expiration. My pharmacist told me to seek a compounding pharmacy to make smaller doses. Can anyone help me find one that ships? $172 for 10k hurts when I would waste so much of it.

That's just the nature of the beast. We all waste it, but it's needed for proper TRT. How many units per week are you taking? Most here only do 250 units twice per week or maybe more so we're all wasting some of it. Typically, my HCG from CVS has a shelf life of 60 days once re-constituted. Even one with 30 days shelf life can be stretched out to 60+ days probably if stored correctly. It's packaged in 10,000 units because it's mainly used for fertility treatments in men that commands higher dosing via IM injections. So dont feel so bad just because it's packaged in 10K unit vials. There's a reason for it...

What's the best way to store for max shelf life and what shelf life can be expected? What's the best recommendations for dose and benefits of higher dose?

It is good for 60 day's. So get a script for 250iu EOD. Then you would use all but 1000iu of it. I'm pretty sure you can save that 2,000iu and not mix it. Just store in a cool dry place. Ive heard guys keep HCG for longer than 60 day's as well.

Use your fridge to store the reconstituted HCG if possible. Should be OK for 60 days. Some suggest the potency declines with time, but store it cold (not freezing) and dark. Are 5000iu. vials not available in the USA? I use foreign and 5000iu. vials seem to be the norm.

Off topic, but I have a TV in my office & CNN is running a piece on the HCG Diet right now...
It turns out FDA is sending letters to all the OTC Sublingual Products telling them they are in violation & must stop marketing their products. They have 15 days to comply. I just hope this doesnt cause an extra rush by users to the Rx Form we take. That'll really make prices rise for injection HCG...Last edited by APIs; 12-07-2011 at 12:20 PM.
