Lab results, please help!
I've got my limited lab results from my last visit. When the new doc I saw tried to convince me to go on Pellots. All I have in front of me is my total test and its range and my psa. They mailed the rest to me and should have in a couple days. Of course they didn't run all the labs I asked for so it might not be much help. I am pretty positive I'm taking too much a week though, which I always thought I was. No change in my protocol yet either, I put in a call to my physician and set up another appointment with her to go over and beg for the hcg , AI. Keep in mind just 6 weeks ago my total test was in low 400's and now its.
Total test- 1488 test range was 384-1197. They ran it twice to be sure, first was over 1500.
PSA 1.79
I'm 38y/o and have been on trt approx. 18-20 weeks now. Only been prescribed test cyp. I give myself 200mg every 7 days on the nose. Well please help out with suggestions. I was thinking of dropping down to 100-125 every 7 days? Anyways headed to the gym now and will be back on when I return.Last edited by jilsley; 12-16-2011 at 08:57 AM.

wow, srtickingly similiar to my BW. 43yrs old been on TRT 15 wks, Total T was 400 when I started, was 1441 after 10 weeks in. PSA 1.9. My free T (dont have number in front of me but was grosssly high out of range. E2 was on upper end as well. All this from 200 mg cyp per 7 days. I also take HcG 2x per wk (500iu)and A.I. I am no different than most people, think more is better, but have learned on this board that is not always the case and can have significant consequences. I would def lower your intake to 120 or so (which I have) and do whatever you need to, to get set up with the HcG and A.I. Do you have any side effects?? Good chance E2 is high.

Only side effects I can point out are testicles shrinking and sore. Have kind of figured thats normal if just on test alone. I have been a little on pumped side though. Not freaking out and losing control or anything like that. Actually my mood is alot better now than before. I'm definetly dropping my dose down. Just not sure exactly to what yet. When you dropped your dose did you do so all at once or gradually? and could you tell any difference in overall mood, workout, etc.?

Just did this a couple weeks ago, so truthfully havent felt any different. Dropped it all at once to 120 per wk. Workouts just as good on day 6 as day 2, if anything with me there may be a pyhcological effect, I get a litle anxious for day 7 to come. Again, I need to constantly remind myself this is for the long haul, I'm not "blasting". Good luck, I think you will find no significant dif by dialing it down a bit. testicle issue will no doubt be corrected if you get some HcG .

You need to post full BW. Free and Bio T are important. Total is not that important. Did you get your E2 tested? Are you primary or secondary? What was your psa prior to TRT? In other words, post your last full BW with ranges so we can look it over and make informed decisions to help. And definitely start hcg or your boys will continue to shrink. Go to www.allthingsmale.com and read the HCG update by Dr. Crisler and you'll understand. Also read all the stickies at the top of the forum, multiple times. 200 mg a week seems to be getting more common but it's definitely at the top end of the spectrum for TRT, IMO. Consider the average amount of test produced endogenously is app 7mg a day!
To quote JD (I think) "more isn't better, better is better"
Correct me if I'm wrong JD!

Still waiting on all results to get mailed. Also in a previous post I advised the doc I was referred to was a complete ass and didn't even want to run all test I asked for. I hope when I get them and post them they will be more help. I'm still searching for a real trt doc in my area that will prescribe everything I've found on here that I should be taking.

I realize what I posted is not really helpful in making a informed decision, but its all I have at the moment. Thanks again for any advice.
