Thinking I have low T- Do i simply go to my GP to get the complete Bloodwork done?

Should I just call and schedule an appointment to get the bloodwork done or should i get a referral to an Endo to have the bloodwork done?

    which ever you want

i got initial bloodwork from my gp to confirm my low T suspicion but he wouldnt treat low T so ended up on the endo hunt...but then ended up getting test prescribed by a gp in the end...

some gp's wont sign for a test for some of the important hormones like estradiol(estrogen) in men, etc.

another option there are several companies that allow u to do the test you want without doctor referral..

then that comes to the question if you want your insurance to pay so in that case you might want to consult them first

Depending on ur financial situation the easiest shot is a clinic that specializes in trt. For me its worth the extra money not to put up with the BS

Thank you everyone. I'm going to read these tonight and get on the phone tomorrow. I spoke with a clinic today that specializes in TRT so I have an option there but it won't go thru my insurance. The good thing though is that my levels will be tested during the entire process so I'm not just getting thrown on test and sent on my way.
