    Blood at injection site

The last two times that the wife has injected me on the my left glute, I bleed quite a bit. Like it starts running out. Now as soon as you put pressure on it for 5-10 seconds it quits. Just wondering what this could be. She is doing everything the same and this just started happening. The right glute has never bled at all. Any ideas?

likely hitting a vein on the way out. Does she aspirate , if so should be no worries? I have been pinned by professionals and have bled more than pinning my self.

Leave the syringe in the muscle for about 20 to 30 seconds before pulling out. You're just getting some bleeding from blood vessels that have been damaged and they need to coagulate.

Another reason why SQ is an option for injection.

my thoughts exactly, this is why most of us not only alternate sides but also change the location of injection. if you pin in the same spot you may cause some tissue damage. even when i do SQ i pin in different locations around the belly button, never in the same spot twice.

I switch every week from the left to the right glute. So it happened last night and then two weeks ago.

yea but are you avoiding to pin in the same spot? again, little blood is very normal, maybe you just have more veins than others! also bleeding can occur if your fat is low or thin in that area.

Knowing my wife and her OCD, she probably is trying to hit in the exact same spot. LOL!!!
