    Cortisol test

    Cortisol Serum AM & PM
    Cortisol, AM
    Cortisol, Serum
    Cortisol, Urinary Free

Which one of these would be ideal if I am concerned about adrenal fatigue?

    Thanks

I did the 24 hour saliva test so you can see what times your cortisol is high.

IMO the assay of choice is a 24-hour urine...but that's just me.

You may also want to look at the summation of cortisone and adrenal metabolite production as well.

    Combined is pretty telling.

What makes you think you have adrenal fatigue?

^^ I completely forgot ( and have no idea why) about the 24 hour urine test. I did that one too.

The saliva was prescribed from an AA doc and the urine a top endo at a medical center.

When I do things that require adrenaline, whether its a lot of adrenaline in a very short span of time... or small amounts here and there out over say a weekend, the fatigue afterwards is extreme. The fatigue dosent change with how good/bad my physical conditioning is, adrenaline is always the common factor. Just figured I'd get it checked to see where it is.

    www.livestrong.com/adrenal-fatigue

Lots of info here, simple stuff, one of the reasons I started taking pregnenolone and dhea. Until a test tells me I may have adrenal fatigue, Im not going to far with it. However it would be good for me to use anything simple and natural that could help adrenal function, whether I have "adrenal fatigue" or not!
