At your age and relatively low LH values I would recommend you Goggle:
Eugene Shippen's Chorionic Gonadotrophin Stimulation Test
You might be a candidate for HCG -monotherapy.
p.s. Welcome! You picked a great place to start as there are alot of knowledgeable guys on this board.

Can we recommend something for you? Well, I honestly do not believe any of us are in such a position. Even with dismal low T, choosing to go on HRT is a personal choice. There are pros and cons, and I would really suggest you talk to it openly with your doctor. There are options, explore those.
Like someone mentioned there is HCG monotherapy, there is also the use of clomid, and of course there are multiple methods of using T including gels, patches, and injectables.
I think it would come down to examining the risks (and there are risks) and weigh them against the possible benefit. Be realistic on both ends. T therapy is not something that is very easy to come off so experimenting for 4-8 weeks is not really feasible.

"For as long as I can remember I've had symptoms of low testosterone ..."
Did a Physician conduct your blood work?
If so, did he/she make a diagnosis?
You appear to be Secondary Hypogonadal given your low LH/FSH panels.
There's a reason for this and the fact that it's been "as long as you can remember" would suggest something pathological.
I would think, especially at your age, why you present like you do; something is wrong and you need to know that before you start a TRT protocol.

gdevine and hrt, thanks much for the replies.
i ordered my own lab work. i have not found a physician worth his salt when it comes to these issues. I had one years ago that looked at similar levels and told me "it's all fine". Still looking for a doc who is experienced enough in my area.
I agree, it is pathological and there is a source to the problem which i have actively been looking for, but to no avail.
at this point i would like to avoid TRT, and think hCG is worth a try. Not sure about Clomid or Nolvadex , read so many conflicting experiences.
Thanks again for the help

Frigger - I thought as much.
I feel you pain man and you need and deserve proper treatment.
Read the sticky on how to find a TRT physician and do an exhaustive search.
When you find the right Doc do all the due diligence you can to make sure he can diagnose you correctly and treat accordingly.
You need to take control of your health and finding the right Doc will only bring you to a cure.
Read the sticky man than get to work
