Very LOW T. on Nebido....wtf?
Hi!
About 3 weeks ago I got my first nebido injection. Yesterday I had some bloodwork done to check my T levels on Nebido, and it was only 345ng/dl, which is pretty much as little as I had before I started with nebido!
I used to suffer from anxiety and depression, and when I started with testogel (same as androgel ) treatment, the problems started to subside. Then 3 weeks ago I switched to Nebido, and the last 2 weeks or so, my anxiety has come back and I'm starting to have trouble sleeping again.
Isn't nebido working on me or does it take more time for it to kick in?Last edited by mrmagic; 01-13-2012 at 11:43 AM.

marcus probably knows more than anyone here regarding nebido , tho i know there is a loading phase (second injection 6 weeks after the first) afaik this is to create stable lvls - i got my first nebido injection 3 days ago (switched from tostran/testim) .

i think 3 weeks is way to soon to get blood work again especially with nebido. it takes time with the long ester
If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

Thanks for the answers!!!
About the loading phase. Im not sure that applies to me, since I was on the gel before I started with Nebido. And from what I have heard (seen on the internet), most people say that their testo is peaked around 1-2 weeks after the first injection.
Anyways, if someone has more information I would be extremely thankful. I cant seem to get a hold of my doctor either :/

Nebido is a very long acting ester. So not only does it last longer but it starts slower. So, your body could see it this way:
1) Your androgel /testogel cleared out of your system in 48 hours. 2) Your testes were very suppressed. So at this point you are not making much testosterone (far less than what you made before starting T therapy). 3) Now, couple this with the fact that you are taking Nebido which releases very slow. It will vary from person to person, as pretty much all things will.
So the take home here is that 3 weeks in is not enough time to draw a conclusion. Perhaps you could talk to your doctor about taking the gel for a week until blood levels build from the Nebido. Otherwise, just be patient.
Hope that's clear for you.

i was also using gel (i used it right upto the day before my first shot) , and my uro is still giving me the loading phase for nebido , the gels dont stay in the system long -thats what the gels are designed for.

Once you go off the gel your level's will crash. Very short half-life. You need the loading phase of Nebidio.

Yes, you'll definitely need to wait until after your 'booster' injection to make any reasonable determinations.
I honestly don't think much of Nebido, but to be fair, it does need some time to reach steady-state.

You have crashed coming off the Test Gel and you need to implement the frontload process of the Nebido then have another injection 10-12 weeks after that then get your bloods taken. Nebido has had that many long term studies done its plain to see on paper and first hand experience its superior to any other therapy on the market.
