Here is my bloods that the did for me.

FSH . 5.8 (1.0-10.0
SERUM TEST . 13 NMOL/L (9.4-37.0)
SHBG . 41 NMOL/L (15-40)
FREE ANDROGEN INDEX 31.7%
FAI SUGGESTS BORDERLINE ANDROGENISATION
A LITTLE CONFUSED

i see you were able to get your test results, cool! not surprised to see these numbers, i wish they ran free T as well! i don't understand why your SHBG is high since your test is so low??? so what is the next step from your docs?

basically ,bordrline testosterone deficent
cant post links, search free androgen index wiki or other
''As a guide, in healthy adult men typical FAI values are 30-150. Values below 30 may indicate testosterone deficiency, which may contribute to fatigue, erectile dysfunction, tall stature, osteoporosis and loss of secondary sex characteristics.''

FAI is your free androgen index, which factors in the the total serum score divided by your SHBG. It is used as a guide to check free testosterone , but IMO you should just get a separate lab for free and bio available testosterone. It gets a little confusing, because they used the nmol standard instead of the ng/ml. The conversion multiplyer should be 0.288, so 100 (13 x 0.288) = 374 ng/ml. Have your team clarify it for you, but I think that what they are suggesting is that the therapy is borderline effective with helping you with endogenous production. Your LH and FSH indicate that the clomid therapy is allowing your HPTA to respond positively, but the testicles don't seem to be responding quite as well from the LH/FSH signal via the transmission/feedback loop. Quite possible that your testicles won't produce an optimal amount of endogenous testosterone for reasons unknown at the moment.
Double check all of this with your endo visit. Their interpretation of this could be completely different than what I'm reading into it.Last edited by Vettester; 01-23-2012 at 04:03 PM. Reason: Additional statement made
