Blood Pressure Meds
Hey guys: Best forum on the web by far. I'm a 43 Year old HRT 5 years. Recently diagnosed with HBP. Although diet and cardio helped some my doc has me on Azor. Anyone have any thoughts on the med or how it will affect gains / training? Thanks

I have been on Cozaar for a few weeks. Doc said it will not effect anything. I don't feel any different. Of course, I have no idea if our drugs are similar so my info might be completely irrelevant.

when i was on anavar and pain killers my blood pressure went up to almost 190/90! called the doc and he prescribed Lisinopril, of course any BP meds are hard on the liver. so in stead of adding more havoc on my liver i started eating pure 100% cocoa dark chocolate, and within two weeks my BP was down to 110/65. also our member Yannick did the same thing eating dark chocolate and his BP went way down. my advice is try the chocolate, it has NO negative sides and its good for you especially your cholesterol.

Very interesting! Any specific brand or source for the dark chocolate? My whole family has high blood pressure.

ScienceDaily (June 28, 2010) — For people with hypertension, eating dark chocolate can significantly reduce blood pressure. Researchers writing in the open access journal BMC Medicine combined the results of 15 studies into the effects of flavanols, the compounds in chocolate which cause dilation of blood vessels, on blood pressure.
