What trt has done for me! Go trt!!!
i have a thread in the nutrition forum but i thought u guys may not know about it and wanted yall to see what TRT has done for me in 4 months when combined with proper diet and exercise obviously the first pic is before TRT and what low test + bad diet equals.. id like to note that even then i was working out fairly vigorously with poor results that i couldnt understand.. my diet was not great and at times poor but mainly due to frustration from wkn my butt off and never seeming to get anywhere.. the second pic i took feb7, 2012...
HOPEFULLY if theres someone who may be on the fence about whether they wanna get on trt they can see this thread and itll help them make up their mind.. i lookd for threads like this when i was trying to decide.. didnt find any but nonetheless im glad i decided to go with it.. worth every bit!!!!!!!!

started at 5'9" 213lbs 22%bf pretty much october 1, 2011
latest bf% caliper came back at 9% weight 190lbs.. my wife does the bf% calipers and she was trained to do it.. i dont think im quite 9% but im betting 12% or maybe a little lower.. abs are starting to come out ever so slightly..
the way ive got it figured im guessing ive lost close to 27lbs fat and gained 4lbs muscle... something like that .. in 17weeks...
its funny man now the first thing i like to do in the morning is go stand in front of the mirror and look at myself to see if this is really real LOL.. for the past 5 or 6 years ive been doing cardio and lifting pretty hard for like 3 or 4 months and made minimal gains/losses and eventually plateaued.. then id get tired of busting my butt and just get fat again to have to start all over.. i couldnt figure out why that was happening to me and then a buddy told me about low test and i decided to go get mine checked.. i didnt really think it was gonna be low but i kind of hoped it would just so id have an explanation.. low and behold my total test was 349(348-1197 i think) and free:7.3(8.7-25.1 i think ).. got on TRT in october and here i am in february.. going on a cruise in april and looking forward to it for sure! the past few yrs ive been too fat and embarrassed to take my shirt off in public.. NOT ANYMORE MAN!!!

Increadible!
Body transformation aside, how do you feel different?
Not from body image confidence, but pure brain chemistry?
And what is your TRT protocol and BW levels today?
HGH?

LOL SLF
flier i feel pretty good man.. like i remember feeling when i was in my early 20s.. before i was always tired even when i woke up after sleepn all nite.. tired all day.. kind of depressed negative outlook on life sort of deal..
now i wake up feeln good.. feel good about life .. have that optimistic hopeful outlook again.. want to do stuff and go places.. all around better quality of life man!
protocol now is:
80mg test cyp every 3.5days, 1.5mg adex per week(subject to change), 250iu HCG 2x per week
no HGH..

One more thing.
Are you expected to keep fertile with the HCG for a very long time? Will the leydigs eventually become desensitized to the HCG, and your testies shrivel?

I would do it in a heartbeat if Browngirl and I had already done our baby-making! Everywhere I've read it says it's best to wait until you have kids before starting TRT.

Thats why I asked 405 about HCG .
And one reason why I haven´t started TRT yet.
I need to find out if going on TRT with HCG will lessen the chances of being fertile.
Oh yes, I also need to find an ovulating female to have those babies with.
I stayed at the Venetian last time in Las Vegas, and potential mothers were swarming all over the place, I might go back.

I'll be 30 in May. I know it's a little young for TRT, but my Libido is in the shitter and I'm always tired. I used to think that it was because I was Fat before I started all of this (5'9 233lbs), but now I'm in pretty good shape (Sgt Hartman guessed be to be about 13%BF), and I'm still feeling pretty crappy with the same libido problems. I have zero problems with ED though, so maybe it's something else.
Business is going good and my relationship is the best, so I can't think of what else it would be. I've thought about just going and getting the bloodwork, but I don't have insurance and I figured what's the use in spending the extra money now if the baby making is gonna put it all on hold anyway.

405
total test of 349, hard to believe that falls within range and considered w/in threshold - therefore is normal via the medical profession. They certainly have a different definition of normal then most on this board.
W/ an inject of 3.5 days when do you administer the HCG ?
Thanks

I'm sure there's way to lessen the odds of this happening, and I know there's several guys on cycle that have got their girl pregnant. For me though, any chance of screwing up my ability to not have kids just isn't worth it. I thought about going and having my sperm frozen, but that a couple grand, not to mention in vetro which is like 10k.
I would rather just feel like shit for a few more years, knockup Browngirl a couple times , and then go the TRT route. I'm all about taking risk, but when it comes to something like this I'm more of "better safe than sorry" type of guy.

what is your physician prescribed protocol? or have you simply been self medicating?
reason i ask is that your test levels are well within "normal" range which is around 350 to 450 and widely accepted here in Ontario Canada. HOWEVER, some physicians won't consider you for TRT until your test level drop below 250. this is a huge mistake in my humble opinion. the transparent truth is, millions of men around the globe are suffering from Andropause or better known as man o pause and they haven't a clue why? they have no idea why they are experiencing a low libido, lethargic, suffering from sleep apnea, irritable..just to name a few.
i HIGHLY recommend EVERY male over the age of 40 make an appt with your family physician and get a blood panel done or at least your test levels. VERY IMPORTANT guys..
edit: how rude of me. congratulations in your hard work bro! very very nice! i'm glad you're feeling better and your confidence has shot through the roof! and you're probably sleeping better, not irritable, libido is up there (pun intended) and you're back on your game.. wtg man!Last edited by MickeyKnox; 02-11-2012 at 08:18 PM.

405, GREAT JOB!!! Hats off to you, that's what it's all about.
Flier, Slfmade, TRT isn't the end all for fertility. HCG will mimic the LH analog for keeping the testicles healthy and producing some endogenous test, and in my case even 'some' spermogenesis as discovered in a lab my doctor ran last year. FSH is the hormone that will trigger sperm production, and there are therapies like HMG (human menopausal gonadotropin) that will mimic both LH and FSH.

Hey mickey.. To answer ur main question i think mainly what "qualified" me for TRT was my free test of 7.3(8.7-25.1)..
I also appreciate the kind words from u guys but the main reason i posted the pics was for guys like myself considering whether or not TRT could/would produce in them results worth the risk/sacrifice/commitment.. For myself i say yes i also wanted to have some pics in this forum documenting what testosterone repla***ent therapy indeed can produce in a guy whos willing to put in the work..
Without proper test levels even with diet and exercise my before pic is more representative of what low test can generate(or deteriorate) in the male physique.. The contrast between the 2 pics documents the handicap placed on men suffering from low testosterone .. Fortunately for us thanks to medicine we dont have to be victims if we dont want to beLast edited by --->>405<<---; 02-11-2012 at 09:15 PM.

405,
you're last paragraph speaks volumes. far too many men are messed up and don't realize how important it is to maintain proper levels of test.
thank you again, and keep up the fabulous work!

this was done in 5 months!!???
-
02-12-2012, 11:01 AM #33
I waited until my wife was pregnant with our second child before starting trt, although we want to have 5. Doctor assured me I would be able to have more kids but he doesn't know all, it really depends, and hoping everything will be ok. But you could do what I did and have twins then start, yeah so it isn't just the second child, second and third on their way. I'm probably financially screwed.

forgot to comment about your left shoulder..do you think it's over developed? or is just the photo bro?
once again, great work!
-
02-12-2012, 02:12 PM #37
Yeh its overdevelopment.. I had bicep tendon surgery and shoulder surgery where they removed part of my collarbone cuz it was scraping some other bone and some other crap.. I think when i do lifts my right side is weaker cuz of the surgeries and my shoulder compensates ...
Thx for noticing And pointing it out! LOL
