High RBC in the short term can be ok and favorable for some athletes. Long term, no. It's called Polycythemia which can be hereditary or secondary in nature. Your's is probably secondary brought on by the added substances. Many people don't notice symptoms, others do: Fatigue, bruising, weakness, poor exercise tolerance, etc. Same goes for hematocrit and hemoglobin levels.....

high RBC for too long could cause blood clots.

i went to lifestream this morning and donated whole blood. yes your right KEL its brought on by AAS, i dont and none of family have blood disorders. i asked about the double reds for future and the guy checked both my arms to make sure i had big enough veins, and i do, he was inpressed by the one in my left arm. those nurses or whatever are really nice at the place i went. should i just keep consistant with the whole blood donate or go double reds next time? the question about the needle use for steroids and what not put no of course, but i think they new by my size. their bp cuff barely stayed on, i got 18 3/4 arms for being 5' 6". hee hee

i would go whole blood so you can go back every 56 days, if you do double then you're only allowed to do it i believe every 3 months or so. besides double reds takes allot longer to process. and the benefits of whole blood is that you get rids of everything and your body will produce everything new! with doubles they put everything back in your body except for red cells. either one will work, it up to you.

Good to hear Ted, I never heard anything about giving blood when I cycled either. However, I wasnt getting blood work done so who knows what my rbc, hemoglobin and hematocrit were. I really didnt notice a difference after giving, maybe I will after a few more pulls. I filled the bag in 5 minutes!

Personally I wouldnt, and its probably not down enough yet. I think its gonna take a few pulls just to start getting it down, you and I are probably still high after only giving once.

Ted you have to calm down and be patient with it. It seems like your giving yourself anxiety over it. Relax! You'll be ok.

you will be fine Ted, i too got scared from the unknown and was having anxieties for no reason. actually if anything you want to workout, it will help lower BP when you're resting. do morning walks as much as you can. i bet you are within normal range now, if you want you can go to blue cross and donate again, but wait until its been 4 weeks since your last donation. these blood drive center are not affiliated so they don't know if you gave blood somewhere else. it won't hurt if you give 1 pint a month three months in a raw, after that you only need to do it once every two months.

actually my BP goes down after my workouts. i lift heavy too. i take it just too see what happens and yesterday before workout was 130/ 80 immediately after workout was 120/ 68!!!! pulse was 124. theres guys telling me its ok to donate every week as long as RBC and stuff is HIGH. some guys do it in thier sink, which im not gonna do! im getting it checked again tomorrow to see where im at and will post up results probably wed or thur being that im only gettin the CBC w/ diff checked so should be fast. FYI ineedlabs is cheaper for this test than privatemd

hard to tell, but like you said earlier you can give blood once a month at your condition. there are people that give blood every two weeks, so yes give blood and get your RBC down. if you're blasting your RBC will go up quickly. but are you blasting when you haven't even gotten you TRT protocol established?

no am not now cause thats dumb , im gonna drop to 200mg wk split . was gonna do what u pmd me to try but dont know if this stuff is underdosed at all being that the thing will only measure to 1500. i dont know why. will see what that brings me to. then i will have an idea of actual dosage it really is i guess without dropping too low, then adjust .
