Going to try and follow 405's diet
Well I was asked to start a thread about the diet I mention in 405's thread. So here is what I basically came up with real quickly. I log all of my food at Bodybugg so I kind of played around today with it to see what I could come up with
2700 calories
390g of Protein
150g of Carbs
50g of Fats
8:00 AM
4 egg whites---14P, 1.5C, 0F
2 eggs---14P, 0C, 9F
1 serving of whey protein---48P, 6C, 2F
1/4 cup of Old Fashioned Oats---2.5P, 13.5C, 1.5F
2 servings of Reduced sugar strawberry jelly---0P, 12C, 0F
10:30 AM
1 serving of Almonds---6P, 6C, 14F
6 oz. of Jennie O Extra Lean Turkey----34P, 0C, 2F
1:00 PM
6 oz of Chicken breast---36P, 0C, 1.5F
1 serving of Whey---24P, 3C, 1F
1 cup of brown rice---5P, 42C, 4.5F
3:30
8 oz. Jennie O Extra Lean Turkey---52P, 0C, 3F
1/2 cup of brown rice---2.5P, 21C, 2.5F
4:30
1 serving of whey---24P, 3C, 1F
5:00-6:30---WORKOUT
6:35
2 servings of whey---48P, 6C, 2F
1/4 cup of Old Fashioned Oats---2.5P, 13.5C, 1.5F
8:00
8 oz. of Chicken breast---48P, 0C, 2F
1.5 cups of Green Beans---3P, 12C, 0F
10:30
1 serving of whey---24P, 3C, 1F
I have all the nutrition facts saved on my Bodybugg and this is what it came out to be
387g of Protein
142g of Carbs
48g of Fats
Total calories=2,570 calories
So I do have some additional calories, but I figure if I put ketchup or hot sauce on something it will balance out to the 2700 calories.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Maybe something I could substitute or change around that it would work better.
I will post it up in the Nutrition section. Also put the macros out next to the foods.Last edited by NOSUPERMODEL; 02-14-2012 at 03:49 PM.

sorry to be a nuisance , but i meant to post it in the diet section! LOL! also would be easier for members to chime in if they don't have to figure out the macros.
i know its hard to eat without mixing some junk into your diet, but instead of ketchup you may want to do orange peel grinds, fresh lemon juice, mustard, olive mayonnaise. i also would up fats to make up for some cals like more nuts and peanut butter. you can also add cottage cheese and use your low sugar jelly for flavoring. i will study your list a little more and fugue the macros and post some more suggestions. BTW not an expert on diet but i know enough to help in some way!

Sorry, didn't mean to sound critical, I'm always impressed with anyone who can do 6+ meals/day!!
Just think you're over-relying on protein supplements... might want to look into the longer metabolic ones (casein, egg, etc) to tide you over. Whey is in-and-out in a hour or so.

^^^^Agreed. Casein, egg is longer acting. Great at bedtime. I actually do cottage cheese virtually every night before bed. Slower digesting protein and gives your body something to feed off of for a longer period of time.
NSM I live on ON Protein also. Love it. Extreme Milk Chocolate is great.

Yeah, I posted the diet in the nutrition forum, and got some advice. I will be changing things up to eliminate some of the shakes. I know I should have Casein closer to bed, but at this time I do not have any Casein protein.

Lowering carbs is a very good idea also try to avoid getting into ketosis if you can't stand it.

Not at all, but when you see results like that you have to figure out what the hell your doing wrong. I knew it was my diet but I never really got very strict with it. I always ate great(or so I thought) during the week, but then I would just go to crap on the weekend. I am trying to get to a certain point in order to do a blast. Already have the stuff and its killing me knowing I have to wait to use it. If I can get my diet dialed in I will be on my way. Because the intensity is there in the gym. Its just time to go for the right food instead of the food that taste right.
Going to be 35 this July and I want to look the best I ever have by then.
Might lose some friends for a few months over this. Hard to cut weight when they are wanting to go out all the time on the weekends.
