High fasting glucose on trt
Started try 7 months ago with total test of 261. On test cup 200mg/wk and arimedex 0.25 mg qod. I have type 2 diabetes that runs in the family and had high fastin glucose before starting. I have had great physical results from yet ( 208, bf less than ten percent). However my glucose levels have not improved. Any input?

My post 7 day test level is greater than 800 with free test of 208. However my fasting glucose runs 109-112 in am. Everything I have read as a physician and anectodaly is that testosterone will correct glucose levels. Maybe I still need to loose some visceral abdominal fat.

i wish i can answer the glucose question, but i have no knowledge of that. just so others can chime in and perhaps have some answers for you, why don't you post all your blood work results with ranges so we can see what else is happening.

I will plan on getting my 24 hour cortisol checked since high cortisol causes hypergly***ia. My new bloodworm will be back Monday

I also have a high fasting glucose level and diabetes runs in my family. I have been trying to research insulin resistance as of late.

Life extension foundation recommends fasting glucose of less than 85. Their consensus is that any level above this and u r incurring damage to ur cardiovascular system from inflammation caused by hypergly***ia. Studies highly support testosterone reducing glucose levels due to increased utilization by muscle cells. Any weight loss of visceral fat( abdominal organ fat) will also increase ur insulin sensitivity. What's strange in my case is that I've lost about ten pounds of far but my numbers have not improved.

Sounds like what I have heard called the "dawn" effect. This may sound counterproductive, but I have read of several people obtaining better morning glucose levels by adding 1/2 cup of quinoa to their last meal of the day. I know a carbohydrate, yet it is a seed, not a grain. It has some sort of beneficial effect on the way the pancreas releases insulin . Might be worth a try.
Also have you looked into glucomannan? I know Life Extension is big into their green coffee extract to lower glucose levels but my brother has had some good success with glucomannan before meals. If you don't want to just chug it down, it makes a delicious pudding. 1 tsp in a blender with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk , cocoa and stevia - amazing. It lowers the gly***ic load of all meals in this manner.

Thanks I will try it. Probably news to clean up my diet a little. I did eat pizza for lunch the day before taking it.
