    Estradiol Testing Question

I know the Sensitive Estradiol test is the preferred method. But I recently had a Roche ECLIA Estradiol test done and it came back at 84. Is the Roche test useful at all or should i go back for a Sensitive test?

I have no idea what the roche test is, but every medical expert I've read from (Crisler, Mariano, Test for Life author) specifically and solely recommend the estradiol sensitive test.

Yeah ive seen the same. Just wanted to see if there was any merit to the roche test, its the one that Labcorp automatically uses (ref range 7.6 - 42.6).....Regardless I will be goin back this week for a sensitive test. Thanks.

no idea what it is either, but when i asked my clinic about the ultra sensitive assay they said its really not that important, a regular estradiol test will be sufficient, the ultra sensitive is just more precise, not too much different, also allot more expensive.

Does labcorp accept insurance? Dr Crisler wants me to get my bw done there.

If you had to use a test other than the sensitive (for whatever reason) just be consistent with using strictly that test in the future. It would be better than nothing.

Yeah, i did and like an idiot Im pretty sure I crashed myself. I have been PMing with kelkel about it. Going back this week to confirm and just wanted to make sure I was doing the right test. Getting the Sensitive test should not be an issue. Thanks guys.

Is labcorp the same as quest? Because that CPT code is the same for the sensitive estradiol from Quest...

Must be the same codes... I don't know anything about medical coding though.

But I have my Quest Diagnostics invoice right in front of me with the estradiol 82670 CPT code right on it.

No doubt. Maybe some kind of industry coding standard. I take my codes in with me every time as I'm tired of mistakes. The workers seem to appreciate it.

That's good advice. It hasn't taken me long to figure out some doctor's offices are terrible at ordering the right tests.
